Roses and Peonies

It's Peony Madness here--there has been a ton of rain and the roses and the peonies seem to love it; we haven't flooded again (luckily) though I think all the water went to the Midwest and to Central Europe, where it is looking very floody indeed. Summer would be nice about now! At least there are rainbows--here is one in Downers Grove last night:
Even in the Costco parking lot the roses look good--I want to ask my brother what kind of rugosa this is, because it can withstand wind, car exhaust, shopping carts and negative F temps and look great:
Here are the leaves, which is why I think it's a Rugosa:
If I bought several of these plants and put them in the back of the yard, I wouldn't have to mow there anymore!
