It's from a photo of Cate Blanchett (I assume from Elizabeth?) I saw today on tumblr. I'm struggling with another piece so I took a break and did this one instead. I didn't trace off where the features were so there are some proportion oddities, and I changed a lot of small things that didn't interest me as much as her profile. Here is the original:

ReplyDeleteIt's easier when there is something clear to look at! Also I could make the two files the same size in Photoshop which was even better. If it was for a client I would have just put a new layer over the source and traced the placement of the features (to be 100% accurate), but since it was an exercise I did it freehand--I did end up moving her ear when I was almost done since it ended up too close to her face. And thank you!!
