After months of buying flowers at the grocery store, at last I have my own flowers! The tulips are always a chore to plant in the fall and I am always glad every spring that I did. The magnolia tree also looks magnificent, especially if you are inside and can't see where it is making a royal mess of the walkway.
At least the chipmunks and the rabbits are trying to clean up some of it--it's a lot of biomass to let go to waste. (We'll compost the rest once it is down).
