So I spent some of the day cleaning floors, which is not newsworthy, but I did find an old photo of Bubbles with the rosebushes (Knockouts, which are not at resistant to black spot as you might think) that were lovely..until the rabbits ate them. Now the rabbits have vanished, and I need to replace two of the bushes. So far the Rugosa (it looks like a Hansa, they weren't sure at the nursery) has done ok, between less rabbits and being amazingly spiny. I have also been out there fluffing and petting it (carefully) so I hope it does well. I also did a trade on Den of Angels for some Heliot Hooves with Loptr and got a little portrait enclosed with the hooves..so cool!

They look less like duck feet now that they are painted, and I made ankle balls too--and found out you can roll sculpey in fine glitter and then bake it on. Of course I forgot that the two feet needed to be the same height, so I had to shave some off the right ankleball so he wouldn't be tilted. I will string him tomorrow and see how he does.

I was so happy..he came in a box, even though he was a kit! (usually the kits are just loose in the outer shipper, but the outer boxes often get trashed en route, so I had bought, along with the Bunny Man, a soft zip bag-- and asked if maybe his parts could be stuffed in it.) Instead Soom went even better, and sent it all like this, safe and sound: I got both sets of hands, all the magnets and the horns exactly as requested, and Gideons' white wig--the wig is one of the ones on the front page, they are big (ID in the prefix is Idealian, one size up from the size 8 supergems). The white one is translucent enough that the cap shows through, but I expected that and Gideon is getting feathers put in there anyway, so it doesn't matter. The red and brown versions of this wig are gorgeous,I think I have ..like..4 of the red ones. The hair is a little slick and stiff and stays neat. Mr. Bun, on the other hand, is wearing a messy Panda by Monique. He still looks cute: The Soom eyes...
