J made this last weekend (this weekend is a pumpkin pie). In theory this went to J's work, in practice we ate most of it. I have no idea how it was made or what was in it besides cream, cake, espresso and chocolate, but it was very tasty :D And today the legs came for the couch, and it is now complete! It looks way better with the right number of legs. It's nice to sit on, too--I hadn't realized how soggy the old couch was. The light is reflecting blue off the cushions; I need to remember that velvet is a little reflective the next time I am making it in Daz Studio, but you can see the true color a bit more in the section in front of the door--it is a dark forest green.  I have to say I am quite happy with it! The only downside is that now Wayfair spams me with more couches, which seems counterproductive--they should be sending me chairs, coffee tables and rugs, not more couches. It's not that big a house! (The floral throw pillows are from Home Depot, which i...

New Couch

Image
After 20 years with the old couch, we decided we needed a new one and ordered this one from Wayfair. It came exactly on time, with nice delivery guys, and only 4 of 8 legs, like a defective spider. This is the promo photo: I don't know if you can tell, but my couch is a far nicer forest green (the outside light makes it a bit blue) and the fabric is indeed velvet. The cushions are firm and good quality foam. The silly thing is that I was planning on swapping out the feet for rounder ones, so the lack of all the legs is sort of a temporary annoyance. I was able to use the chat on the Wayfair website to get replacement ones coming, so at least I will have a fullset. And I am so charmed with having TWO couches that I did not get rid of the old one--I will save money and have it recovered, because I feel like Liz Taylor with two couches in the living room. WHAT LUXURY. Also, the cat likes having two.

Ringdoll Zandro (Halloween Tarot Special)

Image
Yes, it's a bjd doll with his own Tarot deck. He's not even up on the Ringdoll site yet, but he will be released on Halloween. There may or may not be an actual, human sized tarot deck to go with him--though it looks like, large or small, there will only the 22 majors and not the full 78 deck. Because that would be bananas ;) I poached these photos off Ringdoll's Instagram, thanks to Chalyss' sharp eyes and kindness in letting me know he was coming. Here is more: The human cards..might..be just props. I absolutely love his outfit and styling--he is a big boy at 70 cm, a "Ringdoll Grown" I think will be his category. You can take a look at the other dolls in this size--the Red King and the Judge of Hell are awesome, I am pretty side-eye about the quasiNazi ones. 0.o  More Zandro: A peek at his deck: Now you would say HOW PERFECT IS THIS GUY?? And you would be right, but I bought something else that I have needed for ten years that was pretty...
