Small adorable mermaids!! The cuteness of the dangly trim that looks like a jellyfish streamer! Also, they are somewhat affordable as these guys go--244.00 for the base teeny gem. These little dolls look SO CUTE in person, the photos do not do them justice. I am still waiting for a Bronze teeny gem release to give my Soom Yrie a matching human body--this release is Cream White and Tawny..so close... but for the price I want a closer match before I buy. I find the tails pretty cute too, even though I am not usually a resin tail fan--these are fairly simple and have a nice pearl effect going on. You can get "heart hands" as well as finny hands and "shell ears" with this release, and here are your tail color choices: They fit perfectly in a purse for travel, too :D

DollZone's Halloween Event is..mermaids. I love mermaids in general, and I think these are brilliant, but they are not for me--because they are ...perfect. There is nothing left to be done! You buy them a tank and a few rocks and a cheesy castle and a reef background; and there you go. OK maybe a tiny skeleton from the Halloween store. But you can't really improve on what DollZone did here. And for me, there are no feet. I guess when it comes to dolls what I really like are Sea Nymphs, which have feet. Yes, it's mini-mermaids again at Soom ! I like the human version of her as well, she is such a cutie. They have styled her this time as an "arctic mermaid" so the colors are cool blues and purples. I think the little shell tiara is new, and the limited wig is fabulous !

Our newest lineup FairyLine60, incorporating FairyLine system, presented us with too many challenges and obstacles when it came to actual production and processing stage. Unlike 40 cm+ Fairyline, sculpting, casting, processing and packing of FairyLine 60 took twice as much as it takes to process its smaller counterpart. As if this wasn’t good enough, to ease movement of the lower body part and to showcase our sculpting team’s extraordinary skill by sculpting Steampunk detail image, inside the tail. Come see Soom's prettiest doll shoot in years, the sales page for Serin and Rico Luckily for me, they are msd, "Little Gem" sized, not Super Gem sized, but I just love the sculpt, the styling, the shell ears and the wonderful costume. I'm never excited about resin tails, but these are nice and you can get optional little Gem legs to go with the tail, if you wish. Even the story is cute. Most of all, I loved, loved the photography. The mermaids look like little jewels; it looked like Soom's photographer was extra inspired by these cuties. They are on sale until September 14th, Korean time.

I also wasted some time painting over a Luna promo pic, giving that silly babydoll outfit the jellyfish treatment, and poor Luna some fun and creepy hands and feet. I'm not a big fan of resin tails but I do love me some fancy hands and decorated feets.

I once thought that the nastiest household chore I have to do (and this includes all the cat-related gross stuff) was unscrewing the rosette from the bathtub drain, taking a plastic strip with hooks, and going fishing in the drain for hair logs. It turns out I was wrong. There is now the chore of unplugging the pond filter once every two months, reaching into the pond, and lifting out the filter in order to open it up and clean out the string algae growing on and in it. This is the inside of the filter. The brown thing in the middle is essentially a panty hose full of charcoal, and I have to find where I can order another one because they gunk up after a while. I've tried doing this cleaning with gloves, but I just don't have the manual dexterity to do it gloved up. So barehanded, I lift out the pump and dump it on the lawn; and then with a hose and a brush I scrub off the algae, picking off the worst lumps with my fingers. String algae grows fast.
