Cozy On A Branch
I know I put up a lot of photos of squirrels, but they amuse me so much. This guy was actually asleep before I banged the lid of my trashcan down; I was sure he'd be gone by the time I got my camera out of my pocket, but instead he just kept an eye on me until I went in, and when I looked out the window he was asleep again. I think he found the warmest spot around!
Fall Colors
We had a stray migrating butterfly for a few minutes in the backyard--none of the flowers are in great shape, since it's so late, but I guess it's a good place to rest for a minute. Here's more local color: And look, a new pumpkin! Someone is going to eat it, I bet: And a sleepy squirrel in the tree: (It was something like 70 degrees yesterday) Today I made a Daz Studio version of the candle--for some reason the new flame looks better in Daz S. than in Poser: (It's an actual stretched sphere with a texture map). I also made a platform for a chair that Andy made, I need to just texture both now and make some backgrounds!
Sleepy Sunny Squirrel
I can look right out my window into his treehouse. This morning he had a little nap with his head out the hole of his house (the tree is hollow).
Who are you looking at?
Right outside the dining room window where the sewing machines are, there is a fence, and squirrels sit on this fence. I looked out yesterday and all I could see was this big squirrel butt, with a loooong tail hanging down. And he just sat there, long enough for me to get my camera and take a couple of pictures, which seemed to annoy him. This is where he first turned to give me a look: In other news, the Admiral costume now looks more like clothes and less like a science project: Though every now and then, just to keep things interesting, the presser foot lever falls off the Dressmaker, and I have to open up the needle head and stuff the lever back in and put the pin back in. I think there is a restraining plate missing in there--the needle position lever is frozen to the left as well, which is fairly useful as long as I remember to mentally adjust the seam allowance as I go. (Since the Dressmaker was free, I can't complain about it's oddities. And it does sew t...
