Tiny Horns

Image
These are resin horns that glyndarling made and cast and polished, mostly to sell at Dollism, but with a few for people who whined and drooled for them :D. They are so cute-- and the method of attaching them is brilliant--they have the usual neodymium magnet inside the horn itself, but the opposite one is a little slim one that fits under a wig, so anyone can wear them! So much easier than putting magnets in a doll and no glueing them upside down. :o Here's Cherie in them as well:

And for no reason, except that it is a cute photo and JennyNemesis sent me some fun wigs, here is Polly the Harpy (A DollZone Celine, ImplGalena thing..)

Polly

Polly has been an ongoing project for a couple of years. I had some Galena bird feet I wanted to make a harpy with, and a nice DollZone Celine head I wanted to use for the head, but I needed an inexpensive body for the middle, but one that the knees were compatible with the bird feet. The Impldoll Star body is compatible with the old Soom fantasy parts (on purpose, I think) but the Impldoll body I have here was strung so tightly I knew I would have to restring the whole thing to get the feet on, and for a long time I had no spare elastic. Recently I got a "junk" Soom female body (broken knee, six holes drilled in the back) and that is what Polly is on at the moment. You can see she is on a stand here. You would think with those huge feet she would stand like a rock, or at least a roc, but the angle of the knees and hips is too extreme to balance the torso when the knees are locked. I will either need to modify the knees or the hips...or unstring the Impl body and try ...

While You Were Sleeping....

...something got updated. A couple of days ago I staggered out of bed, got my coffee and sat down to discover that I could browse to Google's main page, and that was it. None of my bookmarks worked. Now a long time ago I had something similar happen, and after clearing out all my cookies and starting over, that seemed to fix it. But this time after managing to pry the Secret Cookie Location out of Firefox, and removing all my cookies (I keep hardcopy of all my Internet pass and screen names in case I have an oops, which I seem to do frequently), still no joy. I had upgraded a couple of weeks ago to Firefox 4, and discovered all my fonts were either tiny or some freaky 1970's movie font. I settled for tiny. Now I decided that it must have been AVG that updated, and then AVG thought that Firefox4 was UP TO NO GOOD and not safe and therefore only the Google start page was allowed for my Internet browsing. So I uninstalled FF4 and went back to 3. Fonts now display normally and...
