Check out the posability of this little dragon, approximately 47 cm long, according to Ilsonya, here . Such an elegant little dragon! Apparently not for sale..yet.

All the credit for spotting this griffin goes to Ilsonya , though on her blog she thought the griffin's head was a "little too sugary", but considering it is about the size of a parakeet, cute is what you get :D He or she lives at Fairyland , and there are several other adorable things happening there as well (I don't get over to Fairyland often, as I don't do the small dolls and I dislike the current FL65 body.)

Sort of a random pic (I have no clue what Sonia looks like, she could look like anything or be any age, though she works in an office I think doing artwork/graphics of some kind.) Sonia does need to take down the blog's Christmas decorations, though--it's like here, where it has been so cold and nasty even the city Christmas decorations are still up, looking very tattered, dry and ready...

The feet look ok to me--there is a mobility joint at the ankle, and the back claw is long enough to support the weight of the doll--tinies are so easy to pose anyway, it doesn't take much. But Ilsonya did post up this, and it made me giggle so much:

Not to be outdone by Mirodoll, Dollshe introduces their own flavors of mint green and unlikely blue to their lineup. I stole the Dollshe photo from Ilsonya's blog, and the Russian comments were, as always, very amusing. No one was really in favor of "Elf Green"...it looks a little radioactive to me, and a color more suitable to a tiny plastic dinosaur than a large, elegant male doll (I really can't see Ausley Love in that green, either). The grays and the marble, (shown below) were much better recieved, partly because they are easier to do a faceup on that the strong colors, and because they are more "statue/stone" than "something you found in your breakfast cereal box." Iron is also a nice color, though the gold reminded the Russians of C-3P0. A lot depends on how translucent it is. I had a little Todd Mc Farland Valkyrie action figure that had her armor done partly in gold resin, and while it was fine for the outfit, it looked like it would b...

This is Belldandy, a Super Dollfie Graffiti size girl (sort of Super Gem sized), trying hard to achieve the Soom "look". You can see her trying to drum up enthusiasm, posing carefully in her Soom-esque outfit...with a anime face. You have to give them props for trying to keep their own style while getting a peep-toehold into the fantasy market. I also must admit I totally stole this promo from Ilsonya's Blog , because I never go look at the Volks promos myself. Akutenshi wrote me with a addendum to this post: I was on your blog and you were commenting about the new Volks doll "Belldandy." She is a very famous anime character, actually! ^-^ She is from Oh! Ilsonya spotted this as part of the Hong Kong Dollism show's Loongsoul exhibit...alas, I am now buying a Chinatown apartment in Philadelphia instead of dolls; though I can consider the apartment a "dollhouse" for my 1/1 scale K (with great mohair wig) :D But the Sea Dragon/Merman is wonderful.

That is all I know about this little guy, except that I think he is leaning against a mini-sized Bory Centaur so he is not much larger than my Tokidoki. It must need an electron scanning microscope to string him! As usual, I got this news from Ilsonya's blog; and along with new doll news there is something today on her blog about how the South Korean servers seem to be blocking a lot of Russian service providers. The complaints and the cures (putting in a spoofing dns address) are too technical for me and Google translate to follow; but on top of the EMS problem, now the Russian collectors can't even easily check their order status. On the other hand, PayPal is now active in Russia after putting up a sizeable bond, so there is good news along with the bad news.

Mirodoll, best known for making the cheapest SD ball-jointed doll bodies available, has decided to offer a couple of new colors beyond the boring Normal, Beauty White and Tan. I found this on Ilsonya's blog and I cannot top the comments that were made there; I laughed and laughed. (The reaction was mostly 0_o like mine, but funnier.)
