This lady was originally Miss Ally's, and when Miss Ally sadly passed away, Gus took her in; then Cat adopted her from Gus, and now she has come to live here -- instead of me ordering a new one from Souldoll. I like having someone that was at Miss Ally's--she was a fun person and had fabulous taste in dolls. Cat sent her with some beautiful extras: jewelry and a splendid wig and eyes, so all I need to do is give her a face,(Which will be a little nerve-wracking, but if it doesn't come out I can always send her to Angel Toast/Elisa Maza), and make her clothes! I tried to take some photos of the joints since the new release is supposed to have the original double-jointed body. So Cat is sending me a doll (it might come Saturday, as long as the weather isn't too awful), so in between doing other things (that I should be doing) I have been putting together an outfit for her. The craftsmanship isn't too great, but the clothes should fit and I like the colors. Also it's an excuse to make another tiny bead necklace, which I enjoy. I promised Tanglewyn, my fit model, her own dress as soon as I am done with this one! (Though Tanglewyn actually has a box of beautiful Dorset clothing , so she isn't too deprived). This is more or less the front: The bracelet is made of some wild plastic trim that Sicktress sent me--its amazingly sparkly and flexible for painted plastic!

Souldoll Zenith Paratiisi This is to prove to myself I don't need a Chantal. I really don't. And here is Blue as a bonus: LLT Roderich He needs a shirt under that suit jacket! Also I need to patch that nail hole in the wall.

Those are stretch velour pants! They are so wonderful to put on--no fuss, fit perfectly, and a gorgeous velvety texture! I also love the top, I want to find more fabric with these neon colors to make 80's glam space kitten stuff for Bex. :D Hot pink! Orange! Electric blue! (All the colors, coincidentally, that look horrible on me, so I am so glad to have dolls that can parade around in them. Here is more fun stuff--metallic leggings: Shiny, shiny metallic leggings (hand wash cold, if at all) And Simone even sent a little knitty scarf/boa, which Tanglewyn immediately claimed: And one extra photo of Bex: I received one more EID shirt (with polka dots!) but the dollie recipient was strangely unwilling to wear it, so I may take it in a little to fit the New Soom Girl body and let my rockabilly android Cherry wear it instead. Dolls are so fussy.

brought in by Stripey. Not brought in by Stripey: toy helicopter that J bought. Stripey Did Not Want. Also, tried on Granado Gabe's head on the Maiden body. Didn't look bad until I put this blonde wig on him, then it was another Do Not Want. Tanglewyn looks sympathetic.

Tanglewyn, after an ENTIRE YEAR of waiting, finally has her very own skirt and top made from an old tank top of mine. The top actually has a lace edge on it (under the skirt right now so you can't see it) so she can wear it with leggings. You can see the unsewn fabric just tossed over her in the post with the Caterpillar. I still need to get her shoes--Souldoll Zenith girls have big feet and that makes them wonderful to pose--Tangle can stand up on her own with no problem, but I need to figure out exactly what size her feet are--maybe SD men's size, or even Iplehouse women's size. My Mom not only knits hats, scarves and gloves, she could knit a coral reef if she felt so inclined. She took pity on my lack of Caterpillar from the Alice story, and knitted me a Caterpillar (Soom never made a posable caterpillar, and I whined a lot about that.) By coincidence, I was fixing up Tanglewyn the Fairy this morning when the caterpillar box arrived; and Tangle makes a pretty good Alice for a photo op. (The doll that has been Alice here is now sharing a body with someone else and is not ready for her close-up.) I may make him little yarn hands so he can hold a teacup, too! I also spent some time today goofing around with the new Lads body--I haven't wired or sueded him at all, and he holds poses amazingly well...and I found out one reason why: He's got little embedded silicon beads under his chest plate! How cool is that? And yes, I did cheat a little for the one footed pose, but that is because my table is slippery and I was having trouble with his feet skiddi...

The cat sneezed, so I looked over at where I had set down two dolls while vaccuming. It's an appropriate pose, since the cat's sleeping box is on the top of the shelves next to them.

A long time ago I had a regular Souldoll, one of the 50-something cm girls, and though I loved the body, I did not love the heads I had on that body. So I just gave up on Souldoll--they don't come on the Marketplace all that often, they are no good for hybrids, and they are expensive (This is also why you never see the Mother of All the Ball Jointed Dolls, Volks, in my collection--too expensive; though I love their SD16 girl bodies--which cost 700.00 USD.. used... with no head.) So until last week, Souldoll was a "no go" zone. Then last week I was updating my sales thread in the Marketplace, and saw this listing for a "Souldoll Paratiisi", and I was "a Souldoll ..what?" This was the photo: The first thing I thought was "That's a Dollmore Dollpire Victor Lou next to her!" (Last seen in his Dollmore promo photos wearing a suit and tie and reading the Financial Times; Dollmore has the slyest humor in their photos). The next thing I realiz...
