Iplehouse Sale and Some Returns

Image
So there is a nice sale of the Basic lines going on through July at Iplehouse: In July, we prepared a discount event to give back to the love and support of many people.  During the event, all characters of Iplehouse Basic Line are sold at a 10% discount.  Event Period: 2018/07/02 ~ 2018/07/31  Please come and enjoy the charming characters of this event that you have always wanted.  Thank you for always loving Iple House. There are two returning dolls as well, the beautiful Harace in her Haute Couture outfit and SID Vanessa. Harace doesn't have to scowl, by the way, the blank face is actually rather sweet: It's the angle of the brows, I think. Harace is not part of the sale,  since she is a special still.

A Goth SID Harace

Harace is a chameleon--I'm not really fond of her default makeup, but apparently you can make her look entirely different depending on where you put her eyebrows or how you shape her lips. This jaded Goth girrl Harace is the current auction offering, and just barely above 500.00 at the moment.  I love and hate the auctions--I bought a NYID Bliss and the next week they listed another one with a cute faceup for about 200.00 less than I paid for Bliss, but at the same time it's so fun to see the alternative makeups and styles that the Iplehouse artists come up with. They also have added a Buy It Now button so if you really, really want that particular doll you can swoop down and pick it up; though I am not sure it works if there are already bids put down?  Though at the moment, it seems like vermont chick is my discount Iplehouse supplier--she has downsized all her "big" dolls down to just a few and she now mostly has these little Dollmore and Raccoon Doll cuti...

A dress at Iplehouse

It's shown on "Harace" and while I have no real use for it, I think it's awesome. (No one here wears that style of dress. we're all freaky gothy fantasy, 18th century, and SF peeps here.) It also shows what I think Iplehouse dolls are the best at--looking fabulous posed quietly against some sumptuous background. They aren't really action figure types like the Granado dolls are.

More Harace

Another photo lifted from Iplehouse's flickr She is so pretty, but I have one of each female Iple size now, and I don't need more--I find them a little heavy to deal with, though they make truly gorgeous fashion models.

Iplehouse Harace

Harace, still somewhat in development--her costume shown on the Iple Bjd page, where Daniel Yoon talks about developing her character, shows a big white 18th century style dress. I assume the Turkish hareem style garment is because she was sold to someone as a concubine as part of the overall Carved Heritage story (which is developing more plotlines than people at this rate ;) I really want something like this for Claudia, but the quality is too fine for what Claudia would wear to climb over walls. Iplehouse does such amazing costumes! Full view of Harace is on Iplehouse's Flickr
