Here is Ginger Tom with his cat ears, applied by putting the magnets under his wig--it works very well! We were out most of yesterday so I missed posting--I usually try to take Sunday off, but I had some nice pix of Akutenshi's girls I wanted to share today. Here's her Peach Spirit Alina fullset--it just so pretty--Alina is more or less Mini Gem size/msd sized, with very beautiful, delicate hands: That design on her forehead must have been painted with mouse whiskers! And here is Doctor Cameo, A marvelously jaded steampunk airship's doctor, (with the other set of ears we ordered from Soom, which match her hair perfectly). She is a Luts Senior Delf Chloe Akutenshi also made a little habitat for Coppersmith in the corner of the refurbished studio: And J made a pear tart for us for dessert. We had a lot of fun :D

Mom knitted Coppersmith a hammock blanket--it is so cool! I love the colors so much too. Coppersmith appreciates that he will have something warm and not scratchy when winter comes: It's a pretty good size for a big serape, too :D Look how even those stitches are: This looks nothing like my knitting (a big snarl) or my crocheting (which looks like it meant to be something, but is full of skips and lumps). Years of practice make a big difference! Thank you so much, Mom! <3

Today I went to the Chitown Dolls Spring Meetup, and I ended up coming home with new friends..this lady was from a trade with Akutenshi; I also finally succumbed to Kiyono's Galena, and Jo sent me her Erica Snow, so I have a lot of photos to load up over the next 3 days (I also have to ship out dolls to balance things out). I love trades :D So here is "Cherie" who is just barely not-a-tiny (she is a..small msd/fairy). That is my story and I am sticking to it. Also Kris the Resinsoul Ju needed a friend, though I think she will probably use him for a chew toy. And she is SO CUTE. While I like these eyes, I have another tiny pair of "oil slicks" I'd like to try in her, since I do like pupilled eyes--but they may not fit. I will find out tomorrow. Tokoz Dragon gave me books!! Yes, it's back to JBC beads! Akutenshi07 took this photo, and we spent quite a while there this time, though I still haven't really looked much at the jewelry findings. Mostly I poked through the sale section--I did go specifically to get some tiny swarovski beads, and once I found those, I just picked up things that I will find a use for later: This gives you an idea of what the items on the sale table cost--I paid retail for them (what is on the tags) and they were still cheaper than JoAnns, with a lot of variety. These are all glass, though the ones at the top were possibly garnet--they were a bit more expensive. I also got a cloisonne bead and several tubes of Toho beads. I could buy Toho beads all day ;)                                                                             ...

It's a little Italian jewelry box from the Kane County Flea Market! The weather was glorious and we met up with Akutenshi7 at the cowhides. I should have taken a picture, but I forgot that the cowhides are not a normal Flea Market item in most part of the country. I was more amazed at the Pre-Columbian Pottery special: Also there was a booth that we totally agreed with: But the chest was the best thing--here it is with the Craft Store That Will Not Be Named chest: For the larger dolls, it is a little short: But the drawers open fine and the inside was nice and clean: Altogether it's a very fine chest!

Marilyn (Iplehouse Jessica) finds a unicorno. Coppersmith finds a key, but not apparently his shirt. I discover that Benmore is not really a girl. I thought he'd be convertible from his promos, but I was wrong I discover that making wigs is harder than it looks: Costco apples come with free face protectors. These are the ears Cat sent me! Cass' shell ears, that no one will part with. (Cat said that her Alice in Labyrinth Chloe wasn't interested in them). So here they are, and I will make Cat some weird little eyes in return. This is the baker's dozen I sent out to Chalyss this morning: They do look a lot better in an eye than out of it. Though I do need to make Claudia new ones--you cant tell here, due to the Miracle of Photoshop, but Claudia's eyes in person have so much glitter they look like LEDs in the sunlight, and it's a bit much. And here Arnold enjoys his new Cat-made blanket on his favorite chair:

First up, Sicktress fixed Dragael's wings (she also named her, so it seems appropriate). Unfortunately, it turns out the Nephelin wings are sort of custom drilled, so the holes on each side of her torso aren't drilled the same: (You can see where I need to put the magnet back in as well. But after seeing Sicktress working on her guy to build up his back, I think I will do a small scale version of the same, and drill out that left wing hole where it needs to be, and fill in the other holes completely with LaDoll. The wings will be in just one position, and that is ok with me. I also got a pair of Soom Monzo wings and they have a sort of hex key connector which is a million times more sensible than the magnet and pin assembly--you can change the angle but the wings are in there securely: And Mom sent me two wonderful things! My big purchase was two handmade mohair wigs from Akutenshi7. The first one was for Gemma, since she has been sharing a wig with another doll and no one should have to share their hair. The second wig is for a doll that is still in progress and I want to finish her completely before I take pics, but I did want to share her gorgeous wig: I really wanted a mohair wig for this girl since her hair needs to be able to be pinned up for different outfits. So pretty! Then there was a raft of other deals that I found: Two of these were from Akutenshi, though--a cravat that she bought for my guys (I think one of the Victorians, Josiah Aldwood, will get an outfit to match the cravat), and a chair. A 5.00 chair. I was very excited about the chair because they cost the earth to buy through the mail or ebay because of the shipping, and this one was a perfect size for Coppersmith.
