So I am not dead, just busy doing renders for Renderosity with their new version of Poser 11--the render above is "SOS" because the new male figure (barely visible on the left) has almost nothing for clothes yet as he is Brand New and a morph of Renderosity's new female character La Femme. So he actually fits her clothes and they don't look bad, just undignified. L'Homme does have some fun new characters and surface textures, though, including this guy by 3Dream: I also spent hours and hours moving over old Poser models (the laundromat above was one of them that I forgot I had) and trying to reassemble them in Poser 11. Most of the simpler textures still work in the new renderer, but not all, and some of the files I bought from Daz years ago have the geometry missing or hidden, though they work in Daz Studio still. This is where all my time has gone--look at this shiny thing :D There is even some wear on the "seat velvet", so I am learning stuff as I go along. The set is almost ready--I am doing promo renders and I have found some flaws now that I am rendering at larger sizes, but once those are fixed, the set goes to the testers-- and then hopefully on sale. I also have fixed the washing machine. It was getting slower and slower to fill on the cold water side, and the plumber said there was a filter at the end of the hose that was probably clogged. A really simple fix--except that the plumbing in the house is so fragile any unscrewing of hoses has to be done very, very carefully (when shut off, the cold water valve on the wall leaks, and the shutoff handle is crusty with rust. If the handle broke off, it would be another call to the plumber, and all the house water would have to be shut off.) So I got the hose off, and the filter was a mess--some of the washer inside the hose had ...

I have a Tokyo Asa from 2013, and I thought it would be fun to compare it with the old YID body from around 2010 or so, before they made the switch to the New Young Iplehouse Doll in 2012 (The dates are approximate, for some reason Iplehouse pulled off the order period information on their website, argh.) Asa is on an "old EID" body with the original joints, and a Medium bust. Compared to the YID body she is SO HEAVY. The Yid is very light and while the joints are basic, she is still a nice poser and a pretty sculpt. I like that you can see that they are from the same "house" in style. I think the YID will hold my Sidonia head, but I haven't decided yet--I may put my original Gitana head on there instead. And randomly, the amaryllis I sat on last year is blooming again--I guess it forgave me :D 3 day time lapse:

Using rubber gloves, I cleaned out most of last year's plants and moved some of the stones out, and got the bubblers and filter back in. I still need pond plants and some test strips before I put pollywogs or mosquito fish in there. The lining seems to be ok but I don't want to get any large fish in case it fails later in the season (I don't have a back...
