(Continued from yesterday) So here is their height difference standing, it's noticable. But sitting, they are almost the same height: Huge difference in hand sizes--Raphael has huge hands: Raphael has slightly, longer, narrower feet. His only stability flaw is that he needs some hot glue in his ankles so he wont slip forward--he's heavy on top so he wants to tilt forward: He sits perfectly though--he doesn't want to fall over backwards like Bryan does. You can literally do anything with Raphael's arms and they stay--he has silicon beads cast into his shoulder wells, and they work amazingly well: He kneels well too--he does have limited foot motion back and forth (he can't point his toes straight back) but he can turn them to the side if needed. Side view: I have a couple more but I will post them tomorrow! I have been working nonstop for two days and also doing yard work, so I am kind of fried.

I'm trying to shovel my way through a bunch of projects, but I did take several comparison photos between Bryan, a Senior Iplehouse Denzel, and Raphael (Granado Enoch). Which I will put up tomorrow after I resize 'em. Meanwhile you can see here that the Evol body is indeed 70 cm and the SID is 65 cm tall. Most of the additional height of the Evol is in the legs. They can almost wear each others shirts, if they are stretchy T shirts, but pants are not transferrable. Those thighs. :D Also Raphael would not wear those batman pants, ever.

Looking very surly at being forgotten in their bags from the big inventory photoshoot, Amber (Luts Nanuri 07) and Violetta (Luts Juri 07B) pout on the table top. It took so long to get everyone together that the sun went down, which is why the photos from yesterday are a bit blurry. It's almost artistic here, where Carissa (a modified Soom Cuprit SO) sits next to Ereshkigal (Granado Gabe head on a Soom Free Choice Topaz body), who seems to be "resting her eyes". I wish these guys had come out better--an Iplehouse Denzel and an IOS "G"; I think I will re-shoot them later when I get a day with some sun. Finally a quick look at Iplehouse Rexy, who probably should be stored in tissue, but I like seeing her with the other dolls so she is still out for the moment.

For those of you who have rolling Iplehouse heads and no bodies to put them on, may I suggest Impldoll's upgraded Star Body? This is not the EID sized Idol body, but a smaller sized body that is pretty close to the SID size. A Iplehouse Bane head or a Lee head would work pretty well. The Impldoll neck is quite forgiving of all sizes as it tapers inward and not outward (Iplehouse necks are mushroom-shaped): The posing is pretty good on both--Gideon, my Impldoll, suffers from wanting to cross his legs because of his internal hip cross-stringing, and he also has small, slippery feets: I suspect those are the original Star body feet, who was smaller all around (I have a couple of the older Star bodies, they are fabulous if not terribly handsome ) The new Impldoll Star body has only two parts, the lower and upper torso, there is no waist joint: This joint is the same on both the SID and the Star body, though the edges are designed differently and the SID moves more easily than the ...

I commissioned Rajendora (SewingBoxDesigns, on the sidebar) to make me a couple of yukata to help with the lack of clothes around here, and they came yesterday! They are gorgeous! I hadn't specifically wanted one for Bryan, but it turns out that the Dragon Doll "uncle" size is a pretty good fit for him. The craftsmanship is superb--the yukata have shoulder reinforcements and the inner seams are French seamed so they won't ravel: I also ordered a SID outfit from Iplehouse to fill out the wig order and make it worth the shipping. It was the Vintage Man's T shirt and the Brain Pants (I think that is what they are called :D) That is this set: Note lack of shoes. The shirt has a big enough neck opening that it was easy to get over his face, though the fabric could be a little stretchier--it was a struggle to get his arms into the sleeves. The pants are great--they fit well and he can sit in them with some dignity: As soon as I get the Merman's head on his body...

Since it is a holiday, I have done no work today. Instead I played with dolls. My sister and Cat actually sent me present FOR the dolls, which was a lot of fun, and of course pictures had to be taken and lazy Photoshopping done to them (to hide dishes). This is Bryan, Iplehouse Denzel, wearing the Bass Pro shirt I found for him. It is intended for a bear, but fits him embarassingly well. Yes, that is a tiny crowbar. J got it for the dolls from Home Depot, and in character, Rain would love it. Heck I love it! I got my own full-sized crowbar last Christmas. yes, that is the pile of dollie presents. What fun! Package from my sister... It's a Santa Hat! New bathroom sink from Bryan to Rain..actually it's a paper clip holder, but the right size for a small doll bathroom. Yes, that is what it is, with some scissoring; I need to stitch some extra panels on and make some feet, but most of it is already finished. And I saved a dog some embarassment. Bryan will be Puff the Magic Dragon for Halloween. :D

My East Coast friends are sweltering in 100F temps today (and some with no power in Virginia). It's not bad here with fans, and a wet washcloth now and then. We finally got some rain so the flowers are blooming.
