It would be great if William could actually pump out these starscapes--I could afford to buy a few more pairs of pants for the guys!

And most excellent scarves they are! This blue one went straight to Lieutenant Coppersmith, who loves that color; the second scarf (after 5 minutes of struggling) went to Consuelo Carvalho, ship's bosun (no one really wanted to argue with her, and she thinks she has a matching skirt somewhere in her sea chest-- though she hasn't seen it in months: "Now that is what I call a proper scarf, and thankee!" The last one is still a little up in the air; the Captain was eyeing it, though concerned that it might crush his cravats: "Very fine work indeed, though;" and the pity vote was to give it to William, who is still missing most of his clothes. He says at least he has something now... And thank you from me too, Girrl ! Bonus: Stripey wants to see what I am doing:

William, my Granado Guilem, has been sitting around with no pants for months. Actually, he still has no pants, but he does have the beginnings of a coat. Here is the original pattern (From Denis Diderot's Encyclopedia): And after some fooling around, we have this pattern (still missing cuffs): Setting in sleeves is no fun for human clothes, and it's even less fun for doll clothes, especially with no guidelines. I think this sleeve seam would have set a bit better 1/8 of an inch lower, but that will be on the next coat. Like many things, I don't let my lack of clue keep me from trying stuff. Anyway, today I will cut and sew cuffs and a lining...maybe pants later. (Yes, I did the collar in the wrong order of assembly,and backwards, but it was late.)

That is the Small Bust Body, and the new Bronze! It's a gorgeous color, but not exactly Iplehouse light tan, though it is close. The problem is the neck hole size on the Iplehouse head--those things are huge and I had completely forgotten that. The New Iplehouse Youth Head (like a Bianca or a Rexy) (NYID) might work, I haven't looked yet, though I will. The truth is it's just a beautiful color for it's own sake. I have my Epidia head on this body at the moment and the shape and fit is perfect, even if the color is different (I have the dark brown Epidia). The Soom Tremo there is Soom's Tan (not Bronze, the Bronze at soom is more reddish than either the Tan or the Granado Bronze). Haha, so many colors! I'm sure my Epidia just wants me to paint some leopard spots on her neck and shoulders and call it good.:D William says "That is my hat."

My Granado Guilem just wishes I would stop messing around and sew his clothes, but last night I did sketch two more hilts; then cleaned them up in Photoshop today (I draw in bed with a ball-point pen and it's rough and messy): The upper one is Captain Aldwood's, who dresses like The Scarlet Pimpernel when he is "on display" and the other is a more workmanlike, no frills hilt for Coppersmith, made to look like a Thor's hammer and with a copper-wrapped handle. I have no idea how to make these out of sculpey, but that won't keep me from trying anyway. ;) And my tiny plates from Ebay came today! They are a set of four, I just somehow photographed only three of them: I also discovered that you can have a thick layer of Liquitex Gloss Varnish and Medium and it stays clear, so I can do glaze over paperclay strawberry pies if I just tint the varnish:

And all I had was my Granado Guilem as a pool boy for her...he's wearing his only outfit at the moment. :o

At least with wig, eyes and a borrowed shirt--I took a few extra pix but really I should be working....

Here is the older style Granado male body (not the Nuevo) at 68 centimeters on the left, and the 64 centimeter on the right, both are white skin. To my eye the Davon head looks a bit large on the 64 centimeter body, but it might be I am just used to him on the 68 body. On the other hand, the Guilem/Gitana head fits perfectly on the smaller 64 cm body. (No eyes in yet at this point) I'll take more pictures of Guilem/William once he gets a few more clothes. Right now he is a NS head on a WS body and that looks ok as well.
