I am hoping to get some doll things sewn this week, since it's too cold to roam around outside. But first I needed to measure some dolls, so I started with Coriel, a Impldoll Azalea. She's a slightly newer version of the Idol than the first ones that Impldoll cast , so she is a good poser and everything works well on her. Here is an Iplehouse Luna on a SID body. (Normally she comes on an EID body) Although she is one of the earlier Lunas (I think she might even be from the Tamer release) her color is still nice and pink. The body is a new one from SID Grace. The first body on the left is the Granado Nuevo--it was also in Normal Pink, but it has faded a bit so it no longer matches the Iplehouse color. (It was under a Fayette, I think). This Nuevo body is lovely-- but they are fussy, prissy, picky posers--you have to suede and coax them into the poses you want--but they are flexible enough to take any pose, provided you fuss them long enough. But the Iplehouse heads have Very Large neck holes because the Iplehouse necks are designed to flare out at the top, like a mushroom, which gives the heads a lot of mobility--they also have internal neck stops now to keep the head in the position you want. Some measurements: The width of the foot across the top, the widest direction, is 3.5 cm. Her foot is about 8 cm around the widest spot, 7 cm long from heel to toe, ... and about 2.5 cm tall from arch to ankle, here: The ankle ball photos are because elve seems to have gotten an Idol body with very funky ankle balls.(later note--Impldoll did a batch of ankles with small balls--they need to be either jury-rigged with new balls of you need to get new ones from Impl (send photos, though). The ones on Erzulie, who is one of the first Idols, are just fine. Also here is a goofy diagram of how the strings cross in the pelvis (they are strung like Iplehouse dolls now) :p By the way, that is a Star Bella there on the Idol body. She had a large head for the Star body.
