These came today from CandyWorld on Etsy ! They went out on the 8th, so it was a little over two weeks to arrive--not bad for a little packet from Poland that had to go through customs! They are fairly low dome and very bright--I haven't decided who gets them yet (the "temporary" sculpey ones I made were actually good enough I have been leaving them in.) Magda has a whole bunch of new eyes in now, you should take a look--her prices are reasonable, too. Yesterday we went on a nature hike at Herrick Lake--normally we just walk around the lake, but there are long trails that go back into the forest. We chose poorly though, and went on one that borders the local golf course-- so it wasn't all that scenic, even if it was good exercise. We came back to the lake and I took a few photos as the sun was setting: You can see the first hint of gold in the trees. It's starting to feel like fall. So pretty!! I'm trying to find out who did her face, she looks amazing!(Edit--it's Bangarang, UK Aesthetics ) She is an old classic Soom Beryl on a later body, probably a Special Order Dia when you could still get her as a standard.  It was warm here today--compared to LA it was fine, though. But I left my cat on the porch by a window and look what happened: (Outside there are real sunflowers, planted by the birds).

Little Miss Thistle was originally a bit of a mistake. Akutenshi and I spotted what we thought was a Minifee Moe at a doll show, and split the cost. It turned out that only the bottom half was an actual Minifee, and the head was..dubious. So I went to the Den of Angels MP and found a Minifee head (a Nanuri 2016), a head that had proper marking and magnets where they were supposed to be. So Thistle has a face. Her head is sort of a 7-8 for wigs. The size 7 wig here is a little tight, and an 8 is too large. The Moe body is adorable, but smaller around than a Minifee body--the top here fits my old Luts Shushu well and Thistle is barely in it--it's pinned in the back. Her waist is tiny, too. If you like Iplehouse dolls, you are in for a treat-- moore romeo's Flickr has lots and lots of wonderful photos of them!  I kept running across this photo when I was doing google searches for various Iplehouse molds, and it always cracks me up-- it looks just like they are looking in a mirror where the camera is. Pamela is saying, "What do you think of the ombre lips?" and Doria is "Mm, not bad!" (I am pretty sure Doria's faceup is by Lisa Jameson (Pepstar) with those signature brows.
