Blue Tape Breeches and a For Sale

Image
It's a beautiful day and I am supposed to be using that blue tape to mask things on my hall walls. But my Granado Terra's Lack of Pants disturbs me, so here I am making a pattern for some breeches. I also listed a doll for sale, a Dollmore Bella Auden. For a short time...I'm not really sure I want to sell her, but it's crowded in here. The Dollmore body is gorgeous, and Dollmore sells a ton of fun clothes for their models, which is why a great many other dolls in the world are wearing stretchy Dollmore stuff. (Even I have a box full of tights, tops and skirts from Dollmore, all second-hand). Bella, keeping a stiff upper lip:

Yes, I have pulled more dolls out of storage today--Roswell, the doll above, has been in a box since I moved from New Jersey, so it was time to unpack her anyway. She is a Rit-dyed, modded Vampire Elf Soo from Luts, and if you look way back on the blog Roswell's head arrives you can see what she looked like before. She's a lot of fun. Next is a mysterious Minimee someone commissioned and then abandoned at Buff's door, so neither of us know who he is supposed to be, but at my house he is just the resident crazy guy. Here he looks like he is still celebrating New Year's: Then there is the sullen Angel of Dream Ruo Feng, Antimony, who has, hands down, the Worst Eyewells of any doll I have owned, including the Tender Lahoo I once had and the AoD Zi Yuan. It's a shame, too, because she has a fun little face and really excellent resin, is perfectly engineered and sanded like a dream. But not only are her eyewells too long and too shallow, they aren't even the sam...

The Library in the Library

Inside the Nichols library in Naperville is a tiny library built into a niche in the wall, it looks quite real, if deserted. The whole thing is the size of a microwave oven. I now have an accidental doll--for some reason Dollmore dolls just show up here without me really knowing why. Now Huey Lewis has a friend, a Bella Auden. I love how quirky and personable Dollmore sculpts are--this is one of their first Model Dolls, Bella Auden. I still need to find her "real" eyes, they are pink in the Vampire Ball limited version, so that is what I am looking for, though I do like these grey eyes. We walked up the river this evening after going around with the realtor and having dinner, and saw ducklings: A blue heron: The Millenium Tower (which has a bell carillion that plays): And the moon behind the tower, above a little hill. It was a pleasant evening.
