This is an amazing doll for a lot of reasons--first, it's one of the first "Custom Doll System" dolls that uses Iplehouse's new option of Gray (Gemma is an Iplehouse Asa) and then Sarqq made a magnificent cyborg girl out of her. If you look at Gemma's hands, they look like they are jointed--but it's clever paint! Gemma's little touches of yellow are brilliant too against the gray. While Torukia is still my favorite of Sarqq's dolls (Toru is just so pretty ), Gemma is a fantastic work of art. Here's Sarqq's Deviant Art --there are other new dolls too!

Aaliyah is shipping now from Iplehouse (Iplehouse is fast!) and Sarqq has already sat down and painted her up...and I like hers better than the default! It was a bit of genius to add the cyborg eye, I think--it would not have occurred to me to make her a SF character but she looks incredible. Yesterday another Migma head arrived, this time the "Hollow" vampire head that most people kept, while selling the human head. Sarqq did just the opposite, she kept the human head and made her a lovely "dragon spirit"--here she is from Sarqq's Deviant Art gallery: Sarqq's Deviant Art Gallery But Syrena's vampire sister lives here now, ready to nom on electric cords--I will be making her into a steampunk cyborg/electrical vampire, which will make my lack of purple bodies not an issue. Sarqq also included some newspaper pages as packing with the head, which made entertaining reading--they look exactly like US advertising papers, except that the groceries are sold by the kilogram and in Euros, and the real estate shows a lot of snow. There was one really cute cottage by a lake that looked good and it might have had a "modern kitchen"..or maybe "many reindeer"; my comprehension of Finnish is pretty small; I know just one word for sure:...

I am just getting ready to go to the post office (I found a home for the Iplehouse NYID body, and will be getting a Soom London (with a head!) in return. A great trade!) (heart icon). I think one of the reasons I like Torukia so much is that she has that scorpion tail and loves princess ruffles. And chocolate.

Sarqq has a new doll--a beautifully painted "crow" Galena (Sarqq likes crows). And the photos are magnificent too. I did not buy the white skinned Galena on the Marketplace, because I really don't need one--but I am glad that Sarqq has one I can admire (and not have to store) :D. Sarqq's Deviant Art :

Sarqq was thinking of selling this beautiful Soom Dia, but I am hoping that she has changed her mind--this is a new faceup for the doll, and even more gorgeous than the previous version. Also, I think that if you have already paid for the shipping and custom fees to get a doll into the EU, you should keep that doll. And no one on Earth is going to make Mystique more beautiful than this.(And I think she has new Breccia claw hands). I would rather shovel 2 feet of snow than one inch of ice. I still haven't gotten it all, and I am out of Johnny Cat to put on it. (The driveway does not get the expensive clumping cat litter). But unless I plan on going tobogganing down the hill in the cars, I need to get more ice off of that driveway. A flamethrower would be really nice. And fun. It has been pointed out to ...

And it is amazing. This is the first "dark" Soom Amber I have seen, and to add to the wonder, Sarqq created black horns for her out of Cernit that I like more than the original Soom horns. *Sarqq (the actual spelling on her Deviant Art account) is a Finnish artist who collects and customizes mostly Soom dolls, and they are amazing . And so are her photographs! I swiped this photo ages ago for a blog post, but she has added so many photos since I think this may not even be the best example of her work.
