She is armed with..a hockey stick! She reminds me of the scrappy characters in Borderlands, and I really like her face sculpt: And her fullset is really fun :  I think the styled fur wig is kind of awesome, it's not part of the set as far as I can see, but the rest of the outfit (including the hockey stick) is part of the fullset. Iplehouse shows her blank sculpt and the clothes all laid out flat on her sales page, which I appreciate. She's so much fun!

I have a Tokyo Asa from 2013, and I thought it would be fun to compare it with the old YID body from around 2010 or so, before they made the switch to the New Young Iplehouse Doll in 2012 (The dates are approximate, for some reason Iplehouse pulled off the order period information on their website, argh.) Asa is on an "old EID" body with the original joints, and a Medium bust. Compared to the YID body she is SO HEAVY. The Yid is very light and while the joints are basic, she is still a nice poser and a pretty sculpt. I like that you can see that they are from the same "house" in style. I think the YID will hold my Sidonia head, but I haven't decided yet--I may put my original Gitana head on there instead. And randomly, the amaryllis I sat on last year is blooming again--I guess it forgave me :D 3 day time lapse:

There is of course much better photos on the Iplehouse site, where they have a lineup of everyone from EID to BID. But here is a Female EID (Hyacinth the Barbarian), an SID Female (Claudia the Conjuror), an SID Male (Bryan Kim, wearing a borrowed wig), and a NYID (Moth). Hyacinth would be a little taller but she is on the old body and tends to stand on her shins, as she falls off her feet. (So embarassing). Also Bryan is extremely loose, so he's got his rear against the backdrop to prop himself up. But you can see that these sizes work pretty well together. Here Claudia says to Hyacinth "Remember that ring the Bey of Maghara used to smite his enemies with lightning? It's in my pocket."
