Rajendora (Sewing Box Designs) sent me this amazing quilt!!! It's actually for Captain Aldwood, so I had it "delivered" by Camigwen, the Messenger of the Fae Court. So much detail! All hand-embroidered 0.0 Camigwen points out the peacock on one corner, for India. (Aldwood was there as a midshipman, and actually missed most of it as he came down with some kind of stomach ailment, alas). Behold the beautiful compass roses! The African plains are represented: And of course a lion. Aldwood has only seen them in the mountains of Algeria, not in the central part of the continent: There is a leopard, which delights Aldwood as it reminds him of his Boatswain, Consuelo, who is a species of Panthera fae and one of his closest friends: Ayers Rock, which Aldwood has not seen, though he has been to the north coast of Australia and admired the great number of colorful fish there.  And he has been to Stonehenge on holiday: And the Arctic, which Aldwood ...

...And a new wig! "These things are everywhere" (Even pink ones :D ) Now for some clothes--the dress she is wearing (by Sewing Box Designs) is such a great color but it's intended for the much chunkier Impldoll Idol, so I need to dig around and see if I have any similar fabric in my stash. Those are Ersa Flora eyes, by the way. :D

So here is Camigwen with a fast faceup (still needs gloss and lashes).  Today was a full day, which also included climbing on the roof, which I don't intend to do again when the sun is overhead..the roof gets hot. We still have a few tiny maple trees growing in our front gutter, but I am going to make a tool and poke them out from ground level instead of sliding around on my butt on a hot roof. We also went to the farm market and bought a few things. Not cabbage, though it looked awesome--one cabbage is a lot for 2 people. I never did read the full sign about the Monkey Crisps: But we did buy the Michigan Strawberries, because it was "the last week" for them ;)

Camigwen is a Soom Alex, from the New York Comic Con special a couple of years ago. Photos do not do her cuteness justice--she looks like a cross between Amber and Migma. Cat saw her at the show and said that people will be sorry they missed her--I am just glad I was able to get her, almost in mint condition, for a trade! <3 If I get a lot of work done tomorrow maybe I can paint her up! The weather is fantastic now: (Raspberries/ blackberries --they reverted to species but are still tasty-- that I got from planting old Target raspberries past their prime :D) Also the "pond" is looking great: And it must be summer, the doves are here!
