  This is actually a boy head, a Blue Blood Doll X601 (Catchy name, huh?) I was actually just looking for an inexpensive head for a Iplehouse modified body, but this head ended up on a Loongsoul girl body that I had in storage since the size and color was good. It's a really nice head--the eye wells are super flat, so I need to look for some 16mm eye that has almost no dome to it--right now I have some glib eyes in there and even those are too curved to fit quite smoothly in the space. But overall I did an ok faceup for her and I'll make her some clothes because I have almost nothing that fits the Loongsoul chest. That is a Grace body, by the way, they are *very* tall, 68 cm with a head, so great for big heads. They are surprisingly good posers.   It must be Spring because I got an email from Alice, and she (and I am sure her crew) are just as tired of Covid as the rest of us, but meanwhile the Chinese companies have been hard at work designing, sewing and casting some mighty fine dolls--the gentleman above (despite the name and the World's Prettiest Wig) has some gorgeous photos and seems to be the primary caregiver to some adorable little person. He also has at least one tail? I am actually not sure what sort of demi being he is since he seems to have dragon ears and the tail is brocade, so it's all quite splendid and mysterious. These little monsters (I think they are medium-sized msd dolls) can be found at Alice's Collections: I've never heard of the company before, I assume they are Chinese since that is  mostly what Alice carries. There are two of them, painted so well. I like this one a lot: I am not sure what I would do with them--I ended up trading off the 4 armed body that Shiva was on and she now sits happily on a normal body, in a new dress. But there is just something so fun about the cute faces with those fierce arms. I think they could be a great steampunk item! Halloween dolls are best dolls :D

But the real temptation is LOTS of new dolls and clothes--the weather is cooler and drier so casting can be done more easily, and some of the clothes are so pretty! This one is for a vinyl Dollfie Dream, which fits no one here, but it's so cute: There is a new Loongsoul hottie: A really cool and sort of unusual DollZone girl "Jocelyn" (think 1920's actress): Aimieri has a new Mao out, this one is Ying: This one is so tempting, she looks a little like the Dearmine cat girls and I have seen those in person and they are utterly charming. She is a slim mini at 42 cm and the only drawback is.. she is expensive . Alice is willing to use DHL and Air Express, which helps with the total cost, but rumor has it that shipping is going to get even pricier if the US leaves the Postal Union International agreement. Because reasons, shipping from China ...

Egretta has the coolest head, and a very traditional faceup, like a porcelain statue. She also seems to have a sort of winged outfit, but no skirts--it's hard to see with the artistic photography going on here: http://www.acbjd.com/egretta-p-12389.html?cPath=44_726 She's not cheap, but there is a lot of handwork involved and I assume she is limited. I like her head sculpt a lot. Also the feather applique is inspired!

Mostly this guy has a magnificent faceup , though he has a pleasant enough sculpt blank. Here is the price breakdown at Alice's: (He is 65cm. by the way). Doll Leaves has lovely clothing, and functional if unremarkable bodies. The resin does yellow over time, but not as much as the old "french resin" did. They resell for about 300.00 on the secondary market, but I notice they don't sit around forever, either. It's also a slim sculpt without the aesthetic oddness of the Resinsoul Long.

It's summer, the Yuan is very low compared to the USD, and Loongsoul has a handful of pretty dolls, some new, some discounted. Jiao Mu Jiao is just a pretty Spring themed girl, 58 cm tall, a nice manageable size; then there is a fantasy Fairy Deer : She is taller, one of the 69 cm Grace series. Over at Souldoll they have begun the discontinued Head Event , so if you want any of these peeps, order now: There are some Tinies as well, you will have to go see for yourself. It's kind of overwhelming!

So here is the big brother of that smaller Miracle Doll snake --and he is quite gorgeous! His painting and styling are superb! We have been whining for years for a Naga doll, and here he is at last. Sadly, my car has eaten my monies, but the Snake can't take me to the grocery store.

He's at Alices Collections and he has such a great faceup! Well, not to mention wig and fullset and yes, that tall Loongsoul body. Alice's Collections has marked down some of the clothes from Stacy's Pink Ocean as part of their Spring Promotions. I love her clothes (they are very well made) and especially her ability to choose and mix patterns and textures. It's worth a visit just to look at the photos, and there are 113 items to look at :D Now that I have run out of room for resin, it makes sense to actually buy the poor dolls some clothes. I have been using the fabric I have here for design ideas for virtual fabric, so it has slowed down my already glacial sewing; it's much easier to photograph cloth textures when the fabric is flat, than when it is sewed into something! I did manage to make something with just a photoshop brush--sequins! If you open up this render so you can see the detail better, the bow on the black and white shoe has clear sequins on it. Happy Chinese New Year! It's the year of the Dog, and Loongsoul is offering some specials, including this very...different...Piggy Fish . Zenobia is a creepy/cool Doll Chateau girl at 58 cm..for some reason Doll Chateau is doing a New Years Event where you can get just her odd little head. She should fit on any smallish body, here is the listing on Alice's Collections, but any dealer should have it: Here she is blank: There is a lot on sale--some of the Loongsoul girls are amazingly reduced, like this pretty girl: I keep telling myself it is the faceup and the costuming that I love the most--I already have lots of cute girls!

'Tis the season for cute things, and when I went to Alice's Collections to see if there was an update on my Loongsoul Cuckoo, I found this little dragon . It's  In Stock and surprisingly affordable at 60.00USD (but add shipping as well). There might be just the one, too; so I wouldn't wait around. I think my Cuckoo Fairy will most likely show up in the Spring. Which seems appropriate.
