I love calendars, especially art calendars--and I don't throw them away when the year is over, I cut out the pictures that I like the most and frame them (free art with purchase of calendar!). So I was scissoring up a Kinuko Craft calendar and looked on the back, where they have the tiny images for you to see before you buy the shrink wrapped calendar, and I realized they were perfect sd size. This one even had the months underneath the images. Usually they just have the images in blocks like this: In that case you have to do a bit of cut and paste on an index card, with the image on top. Then open up the calendar and grab one of the "previous/next month" calendar images: ..and snip out the dates you want and paste them down. And there you have a nice calendar page to stick up on the wall of a doll's room! For scale, here is Violetta, who is an SD sized girl: (Alexei is sort of a zombie, which is why his eyes are rhinestones. It makes sense to me :D)

This is one of the dresses I bought at the doll show from Rachel , modelled on Marguerite, a Delf Juri 07b combo with an Angel of Dream body. It's warm and humid here so a little sun dress seemed appropriate. Also it was more fun to take off a couple of hours of paint scraping in order to photograph a doll :) The mullein, after taking a pounding in the hailstorm we had in April, has come back nicely and is setting flowers: It's a big plant--here's a couple of photos for scale: (the plastic bucket is full of pollywog water, waiting to be de-chlorinated.)

The weather here has been perfect--a little rain, a lot of sun. So nice that I was able to drag out two dolls at once to take photos in the yard without worrying that they would get too hot or muddy. After a year of travelling around the UK, Marguerite arrived back here yesterday. I saw her head on the Den of Angels marketplace and she was a deal, so I bought her. Again. I still have the head I swapped her for, so I am not making a lot of progress keeping the doll population down. But she is still in great shape--her owners were careful with her! And finally we went down to Lake Herrick and walked around a little..it's a very neat and clean park/forest.. except the trees are full of fishing line and bobbers from people trying to cast against the wind-- which was blowing again while we walked.

Antoine the Were-Deer demonstrates that there are indeed snowdrops in my back yard. He is now on a sturdy Angel of Dream body,instead of his old hooved Resinsoul Mu body so he can stand unaided, and he has Soom girl hands, which were not flattering to the Soom girl, but are perfect for his fussy self. I still need to put magnets in his head for his antlers, which came off of a Christmas ornament. (My friend C found them for me at WalMart). His head is a very battered Juri07 B, but his paint hides most of it. Buff made his wonderful jacket.
