Soom Idealian Free Choice

Image
I don't remember Soom ever having an Idealian free choice before, but it might be because I forget to go look--these guys are beautiful but so big and heavy, like 8 or 9 pounds, and because of this, as another Den of Angels member says, "mostly they just stand around looking sexy". On the other hand if you want someone to model absolutely stunning clothes while standing around, this size is perfect. Here is the link--scroll down to see the sculpt options--all are being offered in either white or tawny. https://id.dollsoom.com/en/shop/2012-free-choice-id75/

Soom Idealian (Dia?) Kay

Image
I think this is a Dia head reissued-- this version is Idealian Kay , and there is an open-eyed version, and a Romantic/ Reminisce eyed version: He comes with optional "prayer hands" as well that fit together: And you can get the jointed hands as well for Kay. The gorgeous photography is probably by Julia Shin . If it is a Dia head cast again, it's a really great head for this size body--Dia on the old Super Gem was a huge head, which is why she is made so often into male characters. Plus she makes a really pretty man! The faceup is really nice too--not sure who the artist is for this. BUT the faceup is not available , probably because of moving and the holidays--it might be Kay is already cast (at least a few of them) and ready to ship since both the head and the body were essentially ready to go. Also Typhoon Lingling looks like it hit the Koreas hard, so I would not be surprised if things were delayed because of it. Kay's sad face seems appro...

Soom Idealian Cat Boy

Image
Who doesn't love snow leopards? Soom has just released one in the Idealian size, "Irbis"; you can see him here . He's got spotted ears, and an amazing outfit: I like him even more in a black wig--the outfit has a lot of parts: At 1040.00 with all the cat parts and painting, he's was out of my price range, but I think he is totally fun. I might make my Sphaler some cat ears and a fuzzy outfit. The outfit is sold separately if you want it for another doll--it fits the EID size more or less if you have one of the big guys at home.

Clam and Passion at Soom

Image
The splash page has this typo too, and I looked at it for a long time since it's in Mistral, which is never easy to read, and decided, yes, the word was "Clam". It's actually surprising that Soom does as well as it does with English, which is a messed-up language with a different alphabet than Korean. They can also blame it on April, that month notorious for jokes. Adonis himself is a re-release, and an Idealian--too large for me, but I do like his face. I'm not crazy about the Ringdoll-style officer uniform, but I do like this gender-bender version  a lot: Heel feets!! Those are so awesome, it opens up so many fashion possibilities, and yes, amazing boots. I have been busy with my own heels here: The shoes, left to right are "Conspiracy Theory", "Steam" and "Candy." Candy has the chain and the bow hidden--it turns out Daz Studio has an option in the material pane called "Geometry Cutout" which is a way to hide...

Soom Hyperion Michael

Image
Remember the Idealian Lucifer that Soom released a few weeks ago? Now they have switched him up as Michael , and added some choices in styling for the Lucifer version, and some cool clothes. Here is the Red version of Lucifer: Also, Michael has some angelic katana  ( Hwandu-daedo swords)that are surprisingly affordable, and available separately (you need to order within the order period, though). Here they are on Michael: His clothes are available too , as a set, though you have to order the boots separately :p They have "Prayer hands" for him that look like they double as "sword hands"--if you get the swords you should probably get the hands. I like this whole Light/dark idea, and all the accessories look great. The only question I have is..where are the wings? (Though you can get similar if cheaper ones at the Spirit of Halloween, they are the same scale, if not quite as nice.)

Soom's Giant Beryl

Image
She is an 72 centimeter Idealian, rather than a Super Gem, so she is taller and heavier--more like an upscaled 65 cm Fairyland girl in weight and style. Alas, she does not come with that awesome book, though you can order the crown as an option. Idealian girls are rare, so I am not sure how the posing is, but they certainly look wonderful in photos. Her sales page is here , and her sales period is from March 17th to March 30th 2015 (Korean time).
