Peonies And Luts Chloe

Image
She's Chibi Ereshkigal here, and so much fun! I have never had a Super Delf before, just the old Delfs..Delves? She's very posable but has really wild legs--at the moment she has her "heel legs" on so she can wear those boots, but check out how her legs are held on: That's it--her previous owner sueded her hips (that is the dark stuff you see) and it seems to be very useful, since the leg elastic just loops over those pegs. Mostly she sits and stands fine--she wants to have the leg elastic pop off if you move them too much to the side, but most humans can't do side splits either. I need to put on her flat feet and see how they work as well. She has cute little hands: (Sitting without propping, too) Here she is standing on uneven ground, though her knees do bend a little backwards, which also suprises me: I have to glue up some Blue Otter Paradise horns for her (I haven't had a chance to yet), but she is a standard size and so has a lot of ready...

Frogs and Pollifrogs

Image
We have 3 frogs! Also 2 pollifrogs. Putting the plants in was incredibly helpful, I think--we lost two of the polliwogs but I think the rest are becoming frogs. And random peonies! They never last long enough, sadly,

Garden pix for Cat

Image
Just a couple of garden photos for Cat--Cat's garden is on a hill and looks like the Gate to Fairyland, mine is a Chicago summer garden with lots of vulgar reds and yellows..and GIANT PEONIES. Man, I wish those things bloomed all summer. And of course an obligatory pic of Stripey looking at something...probably a bug.

Roses and Peonies

Image
It's Peony Madness here--there has been a ton of rain and the roses and the peonies seem to love it; we haven't flooded again (luckily) though I think all the water went to the Midwest and to Central Europe, where it is looking very floody indeed. Summer would be nice about now! At least there are rainbows--here is one in Downers Grove last night: Even in the Costco parking lot the roses look good--I want to ask my brother what kind of rugosa this is, because it can withstand wind, car exhaust, shopping carts and negative F temps and look great: Here are the leaves, which is why I think it's a Rugosa: If I bought several of these plants and put them in the back of the yard, I wouldn't have to mow there anymore!
