Dollhouse Wallpaper and More

Image
It's over at Dollhouse and More, and most of the carpet and wallpaper they sell is for 1/6 scale, but usable for larger dolls if you want a small throw rug or a small repeat paper pattern. It's just a fun browse, too: https://dollhousesandmore.com/product-category/wallpaper/bradbury-n-bradbury/

Snow White is back at Soom

Image
She comes in pinky-white and Normal (the color in the photo above) and she is anime-cute; I would be tempted but I don't think Ashley would share her clothes at all :D She's sort of vaguely styled as a Huntsman..a demon hunter? I have no idea, but you have a choice of the open eye or romantic eye versions: When Snow White first came out, people complained that her head was "too small". Her head IS small, but the new SG body is slim, and once you put a wig on her she looks fine. I think her make up is so cute.  I wish I had managed to find her horns and hooves when she was first introduced, but I am not sure I would have ended up using them. This release comes with built in, very cute shoe feets: I found the old Vesuvia shoe feet really hard to pose in, (because of the weight of the tail) but the Cuprit shoe feet were fine for some reason. If you choose to keep her in the shoe feet, a little wire in the legs down through the ankles helps stabilize them for

Critter Cam Update, Naperville Doll Show

Image
This is much further away from the house, and the animals seem a lot more relaxed; so I will probably keep the camera out there. J made a stand for the camera so it can be moved around more easily than the fiberglass urn that it was on before, too. Here are a couple of photos from Saturday night: A mouse: A pretty good skunk photo! I'm hoping to get the fox again--I can see the prints in the snow where they like to travel, so I will put the camera near the prints and cross my fingers. ___________________________________________________________________________ The doll show was, as usual, a lot of fun. It was also super crowded this year, so it was a little harder to paw through tupperware than in previous years--I still found a lot of inexpensive clothes and three pair of minifee shoes, which was great (especially at 3.00 a pair). I saw a vendor (verisariod at gmail) who makes comissioned miniatures of all kinds of things. The business card is a bit blu

Random Photos and Renders

Image
So I am not dead, just busy doing renders for Renderosity with their new version of Poser 11--the render above is "SOS" because the new male figure (barely visible on the left) has almost nothing for clothes yet as he is Brand New and a morph of Renderosity's new female character La Femme. So he actually fits her clothes and they don't look bad, just undignified. L'Homme does have some fun new characters and surface textures, though, including this guy by 3Dream: I also spent hours and hours moving over old Poser models (the laundromat above was one of them that I forgot I had) and trying to reassemble them in Poser 11. Most of the simpler textures still work in the new renderer, but not all, and some of the files I bought from Daz years ago have the geometry missing or hidden, though they work in Daz Studio still. (Glares at Daz). That said, I am also learning how to use Image Based Lighting in Daz and making my own light probes. And rendering a new charac

The Possum and the Fox

Image
I guess the fox decided the possum was too big. There is a delay in the camera and sometimes the most interesting things happen between shots :D

Iplehouse Dylan

Image
Dylan is a big guy, a limited EID , and he's a pretty boy. He definitely has that "fallen angel" vibe. You can get him in realskin, as shown above, or in WS with a special, rather expensive faceup: The outfit is separate from the crown and staff; you can order each one separately when you order Dylan--for example you can skip the staff, and just order the crown, or order the crown and not the staff, or Dylan blank with the crown. Painting for the crown and staff is expensive, and the crown does need some assembly (that said, it's awesome). Iplehouse is offering some small incentives if you order him as a fullset with painting (total comes to 1389.00 plus another 85.00 or so for EMS. Here is the breakdown: 667.00 base doll 93.00 real skin (ws is no charge) 19.00 mobility thigh (you can get either Model or Superhero body) 121.00 for the special makeup 128.00 for the Hades Clothing Set (It looks like you can order two? Not sure, option is 256) 151.00 Cro

Metato again, and more Critters With Bananas

Image
He's PURPLE and ADORABLE..he is a Soom Dia shrunk down to fairy size. Cat gave me an Auber for Christmas and it is such a nice size--weighs nothing, fits in the palm of your hand, and poses amazingly well. The outfits tend to be just trim decorated and stitched together to fit, because these guys are sort of Ken sized--they can take Ken sized tops and jackets, and slim stretch pants. I love how this version is painted. Here is his sales page: https://gem.dollsoom.com/en/shop/metato-cosmic-sprite/ And a photo of his fairy feets: (he comes with "shoe feet" as well) And now the story of some bananas:

More Critters

Image
I cheated last night and put out a turkey carcass in front of the camera, and surprisingly the possums were the first to show up. They got most of it :D Then the skunks came by: Then the raccoon (which I have not resized, it was just an OK image) And finally two foxes: On one of the other images you can see a second pair of fox legs, but I liked this one because his eyes were at a good angle. If the camera was less expensive, I would be tempted to take it over to a local tiny wilderness area where I know there are deer and strap it to a tree-- but I am pretty sure some other mammal would take it away. :D
