Sicktress/Miro new body part 2!

Image
Sicktress' Mirodoll Muscle Body Part One ------ Okay, today I redid the string so it has the knot in the torso, and not coming out of the neck, and I investigated some clothes. The pants she is wearing are from doll.i.com according to the tag, and they fit perfectly. She is more or less SID sized, though it looks like she can wear those older Delf boy pants. I think her shoulders are a little wider, though. The shirt she has on used to belong to a bear, so it doesn't count, but EID shirts fit her fine, though a little loose in the waist. She actually has the PERFECT body for corsets, and though I hadn't thought of a snow goddess wearing an 18th century corset, I think I will make her one anyway. I think her shoes are somewhat similar to the Soom male feet in size--it's a pretty sculpt, one of my favorites out of the other girls I will put up here for comparison. This is with Ashley, a Soom Snow White, on the body. Soom's gray is a lot warmer and more br...

Yet Another Luna Faceup

Image
I am trying to sort of trim down the number of dolls here so they will fit in one closet; it's just easier to keep track of them and be sure they are at the right temperature/ humidity and not crowded. I had planned on maybe replacing the Iplehouse Rebecca I had traded away, for a new one from Iplehouse, with the type A faceup, because I do like it: But then I realized that I did already have the much-repainted Luna head that could fill in for this character, plus she is more "smiley" than Rebecca, and I also like the faceup Iplehouse offered when they were discontinuing her: So I tried to do something sort of similar with lighter lips, and while it looks like the 6 yr old's version of the Iple faceup, it's cute for now. I do need to redo her lashes, though--one side is behaving strangely. Lashes are such a pain. Haha nailed it! Anyway, the eyes are from Candy Kitten's Emporium and they are 14mm Cogtastics. Candy Kitten eyes usually have small whi...

How Well Does an Iplehouse EID Girl Pose?

Image
I have a fairly new EID body who has an older Luna head, and I was curious to see how easy it was to coax her into action poses. I wanted her to be able to stand, etc. securely enough on her own that I could step back and take a photo without her toppling over. Luna has no sueding or wiring, so these photos are what you would get "out of the box:" assuming you had ordered the Mobility Thigh. I also drew stupid underwear on her to make these Safe For Work, as I have not yet made her the leopard set she wears occasionally. (She is the newer version of my "Hyacinth the Barbarian") Standing is no problem for her--the only good thing about Iplehouse ankles is the dolls stand like rocks with no support. She can bend her arm up to touch her face, and keep her arm up. The elbow is quite the engineering project, though. Here she is resting on her knee--like the elbows, the knees are double-jointed. They do "pull out" in some poses, though. I was impre...

Everquest EID

Image
So this is K's first faceup,on an Iplehouse Luna, based on some You Tube makeup maven's "do." (I also got to see YouTuber Jeffrey Star, who looks like one of my Granado boys with someone else's faceup ;)) I wanted to see how K would paint a head without being influenced by what is currently fashionable in faceups, and the results are pretty neat--I think Luna looks like an online rpg character now, so she will get a not-PC Elf Magic User outfit with some of the trim and thrift store repurposed silk I found this weekend. I might slim down her lower lip--it's pretty full anyway and the underlining makes it maybe more dramatic than it should be, but I want to live with it for a while first. Akutenshi and I found a perfect chair this weekend, and then I went out again with K we found a "cake safe" made from a tiny cover and a candleholder, and a lot of other neat things. The chair and cake safe (and beer stein) are shown here: Akutenshi also spotted ...

Spoons and Forks and Flies

Image
Spoons and forks and knives from the scrapbooking part of Joanns.com (these don't seem to be in my local stores). They aren't too expensive--service for 12 plus shipping was around 20 something dollars. J tied flies Saturday while Akutenshi and I scoured the thrift store: And K painted a head today--results tomorrow once she has her eyes, wig and body back together!

Iplehouse Luna Head: Granado Body, Impldoll body

Image
Here is an Iplehouse Luna on a SID body. (Normally she comes on an EID body) Although she is one of the earlier Lunas (I think she might even be from the Tamer release) her color is still nice and pink. The body is a new one from SID Grace. The first body on the left is the Granado Nuevo--it was also in Normal Pink, but it has faded a bit so it no longer matches the Iplehouse color. (It was under a Fayette, I think). This Nuevo body is lovely-- but they are fussy, prissy, picky posers--you have to suede and coax them into the poses you want--but they are flexible enough to take any pose, provided you fuss them long enough. But the Iplehouse heads have Very Large neck holes because the Iplehouse necks are designed to flare out at the top, like a mushroom, which gives the heads a lot of mobility--they also have internal neck stops now to keep the head in the position you want. But here is Luna on the Nuevo body: To be fair, a sculpey or cardboard spacer could fix this. This is the Sma...

Another Yarn Wig

Image
This one I am still working on--I want to put a bunch of beads and junk in it, and it still needs fluffing with a pin in places. Luna is very patient: A side view of it so far: and just a random photo:
