 This is K with her two rescue cats, that came home to her last Valentine's day! It's taken them a while, but now they are happy and healthy little boyos <3

 It's been a bumpy few months, Stripey passed away on November 23rd 2021; and I miss her a lot. She required a lot of nursing at the end, so I stopped blogging, and then kind of fell out of the habit--Covid has also given me some eye and other problems that are ongoing, but hopefully will resolve over time. Meanwhile I have downsized the enormous crowd of dolls--I was sort of aiming for 20 dolls total, but we seem stuck at 35 ..or so :D I'm hoping this year, maybe in the fall, things will have stabilized enough for covid that doll meets will happen again, I miss them! Meanwhile I plan this year to sort through the boxes of doll things and match up clothes and accessories with the correct doll, because stuff has gotten scattered all around over time, as dolls have come and gone. I also need to do my picture inventory for 2022! Work has also been very busy, I work with a wonderful work partner who keeps me more or less focused and on deadline, and we have been turning in store it...

  So I admit I have been a lazy person when it came to updating the blog, but I have been doing a lot of things on the computer (all day!) learning modelling and retexturing and making stuff and deleting it. I've also been sick, so I have been napping more than usual--though compared to most people, I've been very lucky. Anyway, the model (by Meshbox) above was on sale at Renderosity and I had Company Store Credit (always dangerous) so I bought it. It is full of cat toys and frightening yet cute wallpaper. This is the inside: Yes, that is a cat scratching post AND not shown are the 3 stuffed mice laying around. It's a low poly model; so I was able to add a ton of things to the scene, like the cats shown above, which are suprisingly complicated models. And because I can't leave anything alone, I retextured the trailer somewhat in several new colors: It should show up in the Renderosity Free Stuff next week, unless there is a problem I missed. Of course my files are an ad...

My cat would do this for tuna. I am making progress on the fairy wings: They now have a bit of bump to them...

                                                  Digital texturing is hard sometimes. I am working on a skin for La Femme and the painting part is easy but getting it to look good in different light is...difficult.

I had some honey peanuts on a plate. The cat was very disappointed after checking them out: We have a lot of possums: We have at least two skunks: (The water bucket has a trough heater in it to keep the water from freezing, I have been very happy with it). And we have two foxes:  These doves are so cool: And of course squirrels: I'm not tired of them--these guys get enough to eat so they aren't the big garden pests they can be. Who knew a camera with a tiny pinhole lens and no viewfinder could be such fun? This is me now every night:

The cheery Luna has always been one of my favorite Iplehouse dolls--what's not to like about a girl who can transform into a giant cat? Now she has been re-released as a swashbuckling Fashion Iplehouse Doll ...and she looks great!  Right now Iplehouse seems to be where the action is at--Souldoll is still messing around getting The Star ready, and Soom has a kind of meh new tiny (the photos are cute, as always though). Here's another Luna promo photo: Here we have been busy getting ready to ship Christmas presents-- for the last couple of years I have tried shipping direct from Amazon, and it was just too unpredictable, so I am back to stuffing things in boxes here. The USPS Click n Ship is a godsend, let me tell you--I can now make labels here and then just drop stuff off at the post office, or in a pinch lurk and wait for the carrier and hand them my outgoing mail. But it does mean that the house is a disaster area of boxes and packing material, and I am always miss...

Cat Tarot --yes, there is one-- featuring cats doing cat things, and I love it. I got mine at Barnes and Noble; but Amazon sells it too . You might do some math and see if getting it in person is cheaper than shipping (I suspect it is if you have a coupon or a discount card). Check out these bad cats: They are true to the original card meanings--the pip cards take a little squinting because the suit markers are small spot icons in the corner, but once you figure them out, they are fine--if you look at the cover of the box you can see the icon for the cups, below that the coins/pentacles, on the right the triangle for a stubby sword/claw, and below that the wand with a disk in the center for the numbers..maybe a cat toy? And here are some random photos from last weeks doll meet--you can tell I had more fun chatting than taking photos! Dolls with dolls! The theme was Comic Book Capers but mostly it was "Halloween Costumes" Anonymous Raine's gorgeous Dearmine Diana :D A pretty Dollfie Dream! And a few more Dollfies... A Dollshe of some sort, and two guys I don't recognize... And finally a fairyland..Celine? So pretty and with a gorgeous outfit! I love Fairyland dolls, I never think to seriously save for them. ---------------- I also found a "Wooly Bear" caterpillar this week! Caterpillars are awesome!

----------------------- I patched my driveway today with the trowel-on crack filler. I emptied out one bucket, I think I need two more. Luckily it looks like rain off and on for the next two days, so my calf muscles might recover before the second round of troweling. I tell myself it is good exercise.  I also scraped paint on the lower set of rails so I can repaint them, and there are curious yellowjackets around to sniff the paint, which makes me nervous. I am not a fan. Bees yes, yellowjackets no. These guys are all over my backyard and I love them :D
