Turtle Wax, Cars and Cake

It is now time to have my car go through Illinois State Inspection again, and I craftily thought that if I got some primer and paint from Home Depot, the car would look more likely to pass. I probably should have done a couple more coats of the spray paint, but I got tired of breathing through my NIOSH respirator, and after doing some strokes to make it look vaguely like the decal on a Pontiac Firebird, I called it a day. However, the new paint had a lot more glitter in it than the old can did, so I wanted to do something to sort of glue it together and make it a bit more water-resistant, and be a flexible final coat instead of a brittle finish. So I went out and got a can of Turtle Wax. Turtle Wax has probably been around since the first Ford rolled off the assembly line, but the new formulation smells better than the old stuff, and it goes on smoother too.
