Jeline's Dress Done

Image
It's got both sleeves! And a skirt hook, a snap and a back lacing :D Everything except the corset is just shaped flat rectangular pieces, which for a professional tailor they would be fast and easy to make. The length of the skirts, ungathered, were about 180 cm long. The "sleeves" would have taken me about 5 minutes if I hadn't needed to do a bit of needle lace to hook together the two sides of the lace rectangles. A pleater would make all those gathers faster than me doing them by hand, too, and many of them were already part of the nightgown I cut apart. My biggest mistake was sewing together the two layer of the skirt--they would have worked better as two separate skirts, with the underskirt gathered into a flat panel. My next one will be much better :D Now the hard part will be to figure out who needs clothes next (not the guys, they look fine). It's hot here, after all. Jeline will lend this out for a photo shoot for Sophie, the hooved Beryl, but it's ...

Twigling Ingenue For Sale

Image
Lelahel is selling her Twigling/Nanyalin Ingenue; I just finished purchasing a Soom LMOD from her and Lelahel is really delightful to work with. Her Ingenue is fairly new, purchased at LDoll in 2014. If you have been interested in one of Twigling's girls, here is a good way to get one without the months-long wait, and if you are in the EU, Miss Ingenue can come to you without punishing customs fees. Here is the listing --you need to be a Den of Angels member to see it. And for no reason, some random Jeline photos: Trying out a blonde wig..."I don't think so?" Back to brunette: "What does this do?" LOL nothing really..like you, it's just decorative! <3

Lelahel Again

Image
Lelahel is very busy right now, getting ready for L Doll in Europe--I had not realized that she was one of the original organizers, but it makes sense, since she has been in the hobby for some time and is organized. The Love Me or Die Beryl (Jeline) up there is modelling a dress that is for sale right now on Lelahel's Etsy , and as Lelahel is living in Lyons it should be no surprise to anyone that this dress is made of Lyonnaise silk (it's long, you should go see it). Anyway, the whole reason I was wandering around stalking Lelahel's various online photos is that she has the Fairyland Chloe I like the best, this lady on Lelahel's Deviant Art Gallery . And I had just sold my Granado Jaden head..so was I an adult? Did I put the money responsibly in my business bank account? Of course not..I went to Den of Angels and bought a Chloe faceplate and headback from someone who had ordered her direct from Fairyland, so Chloe has a COA and a pedigree. I will have to paint Chl...

Mohair for Doll Wigs

Image
Akutenshi came over today with some gorgeous wigs--she got the base mohair from Fun With Troll Dolls on Etsy ( https://www.etsy.com/shop/FUNwithTROLLDOLLS ). This is a wig she made previously, and now claimed by Artemisia, Soom Beryl LMOD. I will add photos of the new wigs tomorrow when the sun is up! We had a lot of fun, including making some cake donuts that were too soft to really pick up and eat. But they had Akutenshi's mousse recipe for topping, so they were fantastic.
