I've been busy with work, so no doll stuff today...well, there is a bit from yesterday--Chalyss sent me some AMAZING mermaid doll accessories-- and for some reason the headdress ended up on Gideon. He looks pretty cool in it: His fantasy body was made by Sicktress and for some reason it works on him too. Gideon is indeed a strange angel :D Chalyss also sent me some normal clothes, and here Vera/Rose is trying out new things: I was so interested in her knit stockings I didn't notice until now that her skirt is a bit ...short here. Rose has big feet--at least the flat ones are, so I have found that only men's shoes fit. The heel feet are a little smaller but Rose isn't really a high heel person, so the canvas shoes are fine as an alternative to her boots. Eventually she will need sandals, but not for 6 months or so. And the box! I didn't bother with taking a photo of the outer box; and I was a little peeved that it was big enough for two dolls so Vera flopped around inside of it. I also paid extra for the air gap. :p But here was what was inside :D: Paper! SQUEE HER FACE IS PERFECT! In person her lips are not as bright, the camera wants to saturate that red. She is Normal Skin (which is super pale). That is the new, slimmer SID (Senior Iplehouse Doll) body, with new knees and elbows. I have to say I like both a lot, both for aesthetics and for posing!  She is the Small Bust. My biggest worry was that her head would "sit" on top of her neck, because the head is an NYID head and the neckhole (I thought) would be smaller than the SID neck. Happily, I was wrong! She fits perfectly and has a great range of motion. As a side note I like her default Glib eyes. If you order a doll in the winter and it gets cold, those eyes will crack. "Your order status has been changed" Squee!! Iplehouse just sent me an email saying my Vera that I bought in July is on her way! I saw Vera at a local meetup when she was first introduced by Iplehouse , and she was just so appealing (I love her backstory too, as a fashion designer).  I wanted her as an elf, too, but at the time the Elf Vera came out I was out of monies.  So this summer when Iplehouse had their "order from the Custom Doll Service for the same price as a standard", I swooped down and ordered Vera on the new SID body. Iplehouse is gearing up for Round Two of the Carved Heritage series; this year it's all the people the core group from last year (Bliss, etc) meet on their travels. Miss Vera apparently is a fashionable little thing,being a "designer by trade" and she has a fabulous dress in development to match her pretty face: I think she will be really fun when she is complete--Iplehouse seems to have a new faceup artist who is amazing as well, so the end result should be delightful.
