Soom is trying to move away from plastic (amusing since the dolls are resin, but I appreciate the effort!). The new boxes are layered paper with a vinyl coat only on the lids, and the certificates are now in paper folders. Not sure how they will cope with a substitute for bubble wrap. There is a new method of authentication, which I also don't have a clue about since I haven't bought a doll since the Before Times. But now I have some money saved so we'll see. If you would like to read the full article, it's posted here (log in first) https://gem.dollsoom.com/en/notice-en/notice-for-the-soom-package-renewal/

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1numgsVTPwDTkM2Cf7uhKKpH3JMZGxzLcLKyEph42RwY/edit#gid=488502732 Yes, its ALL THE SOOM DOLLS and you can download it as a pdf, among other options. The beautiful lady above belongs to Chalyss , and she is a Soom Ignim--and she is my favorite Ignim! Once Chalyss painted her I understood what the sculpt was supposed to look like. Farrah is the worlds most pink and adorable assassin. I know she totally slays in that outfit!

As promised, Soom has redone the MechaAngel Sabik head so he'll fit on a standard SuperGem body. There's only a small catch--he seems to come in just a pale NS, and he is still a fairly big head. Go check out his complete form over here: Sabik Angel of Light You can see it's still a sizeable head, and if it wasn't for color matching I'd say try a Spiritdoll body under him or something more around 72 cm+ He's still a good-looking guy. You can order him from Dec 12, 2012 until Jan 9th, 2013; and for a head the shipping isn't quite as bad as it is for a whole body.

*Sarqq (the actual spelling on her Deviant Art account) is a Finnish artist who collects and customizes mostly Soom dolls, and they are amazing . And so are her photographs! I swiped this photo ages ago for a blog post, but she has added so many photos since I think this may not even be the best example of her work. She makes little accessories out of bits of jewelry and trim, but the end result is astonishing. Here is the link: Sarqq's Deviant Art Gallery
