Amber, my Nanuri 07 " I am-not-a-vampire" has pined for a box or a couch or an elaborate bed, and I have had no space for one (though I do have the legs for an Egyptian couch, and the cover fabric.) On Den of Angels, Dollhausen has been making boxes for his vampire girls, and offered to make one for me. It came yesterday, and it is quite the project. It's heavy, for one thing, with lots of hardware and some splendid purple lining. I knew of course Amber was going to be too tall for it, but I had to at least let him crawl around on it for scale, while the real occupant waited for him to finish. Rilly now has a splendid sleeping place for the moment, though she may eventually be moved over by another small vampire, since technically Rilly is a fairy, just playing at being a vampire. Lisa from Iplehouse would fit perfectly . :D So thank you, Dollhausen!!

Rilly, a Resinsoul Mei, demonstrates with her own scale model of ..someplace. :D (It's actually the cat's water dish, and was the skunk's water dish while we had him, before he ate all the bees and left).

I am packing up stuff a little every day, and I suddenly realized that I had enough gargoyles to fill a whole box. I don't know how that happened--I mean, I didn't start out buying things for the house and think "gargoyles...you can never have enough gargoyles." On the other hand, they are a lot less messy than the cats. Here's Rilly with two of them: My neighbor Carol is also a fan. It would not surprise you if you learned that she bought her (two) at Lawn Ornament Heaven. Hers are big enough for my Soom dolls to ride on.

This was, I thought, a Bobobie/Resinsoul Ya... until I put her together and saw her ears had been sanded down, making her most likely a Resinsoul Mei. Whichever she is, she has the Worst Sculpted Eyewells ever. I am going to have to find a dremel tip and redo them as soon as the house nonsense is settled. But she is a lovely color thanks to claywimmin on Den of Angels, and after some wiring and sueding, a lot of fun to play with and pose. Her name ("Rilly") was more amusing when I thought she was a Ya...rilly. We did make an offer on the house. The inspector for the mortgage company may laugh himself silly when he comes to do the appraisal, but it's a start.
