A Gorgeous Tarot Deck!

Image
It's the Marchetti deck that my friend Gypsyangel sent me! I think it's the most beautiful deck I own--not only are the paintings splendid, they "feel right", and I love, love the colors. Here's more: Some decks are just "happy decks" and this one definitely falls in that category. It's as supportive as the Luis Royo deck and far more Safe For Work :D Every card is a joy to look at. And she sent me not only the deck, but a signed card, a Bag of Keeping and the cloth for the table: Loook crystals and a dragon/lizard for Wands! Thank you SO MUCH!!! <3

Miniatures!

It's just a prop right now, I don't know yet how to morph the chain so that it moves. In theory there is a way to make it open as well, but I will have to read to see how it works (so it doesn't leave the clasp in midair ;) )

Soom Lig and Nodia reissued

Image
Soom has released some really charming Little Gem fairies--they are msd sized and they come with either fairy feet and wings or the standard Little Gem body. I like the deer ears, too! (I don't know which is which, I think this is Nodia and Lig is further down on the sales page: https://gem.dollsoom.com/en/shop/lig-nodia-in-full-bloom/ They are so springlike and charming! We could all use that bit of cheer! Fancy feets!

DIY Medical Masks

I'm going to give this a go today--I'd like to make it with a slot on the face side to stuff in a section of vaccum cleaner bag, but the fabric version alone can be tossed in the washer with bleach and reused. I have quite a bit of fabric here and I figured I can run some up and send them to my local hospital because someone can use them, even if it's just the receptionist and cleaning staff. Here's the source: https://twitter.com/MtnMD/status/1240490595056934918 ************************************************************ OK here is a more complete and easier to follow tutorial that I found today: https://buttoncounter.com/2018/01/14/facemask-a-picture-tutorial/ I am making a couple that are a little more fitted, but this is a fast design.

Souldoll Kuhn

Image
Souldoll is going to release an elegant new boy soon--this is Kuhn, Lord of the Underworld and he has the most beautiful face paint! (Click to see the larger version). You can admire his promo photos here: http://www.souldoll.com/shop/step1.php?number=4496 Check out his crown and..armor? Shoulder pads? Funky wings? :D I am hoping to put the critter camera out again tonight, it's been too cold to do it this last week--I have a cold so I haven't wanted to be out in weather if I can help it.

Noel Creaa at Iplehouse

Image
This is a small, elegant vampire at Iplehouse--I think with the current financial uncertainty it was smart to go for the smaller size, and the outfit is glorious! I have seen owner photos of the creaa body and it has sort of an art/Dollzone feel to it--it's quite beautiful and some pre-made clothes can be made to fit it, since it's so slim. Noel comes with some wings as well, check the sales page here: https://iplehouse.com/home/shop/item.php?it_id=1782609034&nhn1=en If you are in the US, you can order with confidence from Korea--they have been very diligent in keeping germs under control. And if you are stuck at home, a small distraction might be welcome. I know Iplehouse would appreciate your custom!

Random Sunday Photos

Image
First of all, Mom sent me this GORGEOUS doll shawls that she knitted--and it fits and looks wonderful on it's intended recipient! And Spring is definitely coming (a good thing as winter started in October last year with snow. The weather can still prank us, but it was 60 degrees today. Here is the cat from a couple of days ago, actually outside :D We have those little prairie buttercups now: A nice sunset (my brother takes excellent sunset photos, I always think of him when we have nice ones:) J says the fish at Herrick Lake (where we went for a windy walk today) are probably all asleep--we didn't see any sign of fish or wildlife there since normally it's snowy. Here he is keeping his hat on. Hard to believe in a month or so everything will be greening up, right now it looks very wintery still: It will be great to be outside in the yard again!

Finally the Bunny

Image
It turns out the rabbit has been eating the fallen birdseed, so I finally got the camera where I wanted to have a good shot of it. The eyes are still goofy, but that is just what the camera does. Of course some of the animals like to check out the camera up close: I think the raccoon has clued in to the fact that where the camera is, there might be treats. I sort of like the aesthetic of the random photos at the end of the sessions, too: I also got a pretty good one of the front of the skunk :D

The Giant Spider Problem

And speaking of giant things, there is a whole collection of Giant Military Cats if you do a Google Image Search:

The Final Bee Hover Bike

Image
It looks like a DeWalt planer (mostly because of the yellow and black color scheme) but it's done! I even loaded it correctly into Daz Studio. It's now waiting to be tested and approved and I am pondering my next modelling project. It really is a fun way to learn things. Speaking of fun, if you are on Pinterest, you can go to the search bar and type in your first name +core+aesthetic and see what you get--it helps if you are already on Pinterest and have a couple of boards. My results were spot on: Yep, that is it.. a tiny toad. :D
