Get in Losers, We're Going Shopping

Image
I had a credit card for thirty years, and they finally took the points I had accumulated, and instead of offering me a vaccuum cleaner, luggage or fine engraved items.... let me use them to buy items via PayPal. And I went hmm, click n' ship..and Ebay :D So my Christmas postage was paid for, and some of my Ebay shopping, but sadly the credit card company has gotten fly to my buying and is starting to put daily curbs on it and not allowing multiple trips to the Ebay well. It's still been fun. I bought tea today with my points, and a wig. Eventually the slot machine will run out of quarters/points, but my dolls have benefited and it's made an otherwise sucky winter more fun. The photo above was from Emily1957's wonderful Flickr--Emily just loves dolls. ALL THE DOLLS from Barbies to antiques to Steiff dolls to ball-jointed dolls, so her Flickr is so much fun to look through. You can find it here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/76763000@N05/

Morgan Donner's Flickr

I happened to see this in passing and Donner has a really interesting Flickr--lots of sewing and costume tips, intended for humans but some things apply to dolls as well. Here is the photostream: https://www.flickr.com/photos/healormor/with/12581465713/ Check out this gorgeous re-creation dress (many many steps)

Leah K's Flickr

If you are looking for something nice to look at for a few minutes, check out Leah's Flickr, here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/keelerleah/with/31052657661/ There are a lot of beautifully dressed bjds, and some cool art! Also I think if you click on the art, you can see her Deviant Art URL and see Even More cool stuff. I remember when she first got this Lishe and was customizing it--she was adding the face paint in Photoshop. I suspect now that the character is fully painted "for real" now, as Leah's customizing skills look awesome.

Muffin Elfa's Flickr

Image
Some glorious, glorious (mildy not-safe-for work in a couple of sets) bjd photos by Russian artist/photographer Muffin Elfa . Looking through these photos, it took me a minute to realize "Flatlay" meant just that--all the items are laid out flat on a table with a neutral or black background so that the end result looks like a collage of floating pieces, without Photoshop. The painting and styling are extraordinary--and looking through them a perfect way to spend a few minutes on a rainy Sunday. Here is the link: Muffin Elfa's Flickr Another sample: And one of my favorites--I know that feeling exactly--inside the body is a 4 armed Souldoll Shiva in pale blue-gray with a Isabel head. Look at that smile :D

Borboletta_Blu Visits L-Doll

Image
Go look on her photostream --so many fantastic photos--it looks like it was a big show (I am pretty sure it is Europe's Grand Dollie Show). I want all the clothes (and eyes)! I am so happy to be able to see a little of the show this way!
