Here she is, the beautiful Elf Saif! The original was a Mecha Angel at a staggering 80cm, more or less (I would have to look it up, but they were huge) and she was gorgeous but worried. This is her 3rd incarnation and they have redone the sculpt to keep the cute features, but smooth away the worried forehead. She is also a lot smaller at a pleasing 59cm, which is the new standard size (the 2012 body was about 64 cm, I think). She is I think the same size as Ashley, who was part of the redone girl line--Ashley is a Snow White first edition. I think all the shoes still fit all the post 2012 girls. Anyway, she is so pretty. This is the repair that she did of the thin places on the upper torso; it was especially thin at the hollow of the throat..paper thin..with thin areas between the breasts and over the collarbones. For some reason Google translate won't display the embedded images. NikaNika noted some problems with the legs as well, but there are no photos due to the location of the problem. I think if you have a recent Super Gem girl body, it would be good to check, and then to reinforce that spot around the neck and collarbones. Even a bit of canvas and glue might be enough to support and protect the resin there, but the epoxy is the best solution.

I never would have thought of this myself, but someone wanted to see it...and it looks pretty cute! The neck is a perfect fit. I think this was the type 1 body, it was under a Chiwoo originally. Newer Delf/Luts bodies after 2010 are more pinky normal than this one.

Doll buying is a lot like Internet dating--you see little pictures, you read the text, you order and hope for the best. And usually, it works out...but not always. Take for example the famous, somewhat Topaz-like, Mecha Angel Saiph, now shrunk down by popular demand to Super Gem size. She arrived today, I opened the box, and hmmm. Saiph just looks alarmed to be here. I try her out on an old Super Gem girl body (to be honest, I had a good idea this wouldn't work after testing it with Gneiss) Oh, honey... Then there was the body I though she might sit on, a servicable, but Normal Yellow AoD body. Miss Saiph is most decidedly Not Normal Yellow. She is Soom Pink. So I pull out Noodles, and that was a mistake, because my reaction to seeing Noodles' cute little face was "Awww"..so no way was Saiph going to spend 5 minutes on Noodle's body as a time share. Even though she fits fine. And I'm not going to be spending any money to get Saiph a body of her own (ther...

See this majestic lady? She is Mecha Angel Saiph, and she was 79 centimeters tall and came with that fabulous beaded outfit and Magic Staff, and I thought she was the bomb. But 79 cm...no room, man! So when Soom came out last month with the same head, scaled down to fit a Super Gem girl body, I told myself that I didn't need her. I have plenty of dolls, she would have to share a body with someone, and I wasn't crazy about her faceup and I don't paint faces very well myself. Then I did my taxes, and discovered that I had 300 more dollars than I thought I had...and in the meantime I kept going back and looking at the Saiph head, and saying I didn't like her faceup and her chin was probably too short... and then on the last day I bought her head. So now I am waiting for her and Merry's head and the whole Benmore Cernunnos guy to arrive. And two extra pairs of eyes.
