For a short time (up until the 15th of October, Mainland China time) you can order Granado's reissued Boyd in a Romantic Eye version. He was originally tagged as "Nightmare Boyd" in the first re-release, but now he has a career as a rock star after retiring from modelling. Boyd's Open Eye head was the first head sculpt that Crocus Lee released when he started Granado, so it's fun to see Boyd again in this slightly revised form. He may be reserved for people who have bought things previously from Granado, so check the listing here . A quick read-thru makes it looks like there are no restrictions on him, and you can just order his head if you would like. He's a cutie--if I had a character for him I'd snap him right up.

He's on the Granado Facebook page in his prototype gray clay, and he looks very handsome..Crocus Lee does too many great heads all at once, it's hard to catch up! Jaden might be released soon, just keep an eye either on the store or the Facebook page if you have a page there. He's the normal 64 or 68 size and you can have him on a choice of the three bodies I think--the Lads, the Nuevo or the old style Long Leg.

All my favorite colors have come to Granado, and apparently they are somewhat sandable--the pigment is mixed in. Here's my favorite set of color chips: Nico would make a great Doc Savage :D. And here's an incredibly useful (to me) photo, as I have 2 rolling heads that would look great on Granado bodies: I think this is a great set of colors and probably all anyone needs. :D

...and see what's on the slab. (You have to imagine Tim Curry saying this). It's "Mads", a new doll from Granado, a regular 64 or 68 cm guy depending on which body you choose, and a gorgeous head. I haven't gone to the site yet to see if there is some kind of costume fullset, but I love the concept anyway! First archaeologists and now mad doctors...Crocus Lee loves all the same stuff I do. :D

I am on Facebook, but under an assumed name with a ridiculous bio. This lets me at least look at other Facebook pages, and some are fun--this is Granado Doll's Timeline photo pages, and it shows things like Work in Progress, experimental faceups and sculpts, and other wonderful stuff. It's being modelled by Bird, my Soom Tremo, just because he was handy (and he looks good in white). It's large on him, which is a good thing because the intended owner is a Granado 68 centimeter body that is, according to it's previous owner who is shipping it to me, HUGE. (And I owe huge thanks to the previous owner for giving me such an amazing deal on him!) He will be Elder Iplehouse Doll size, which is something like 9 pounds of resin with feet. I've seen the Granado Xavier head on the body, so I know once the head comes it will look ok, but he will need custom clothes, sewed by me. I can't start on breeches or trousers until the body gets here, because I am not good at fitting from measurements. Anyway, this shirt is done for now. I may still put a collar on it but I am going to wait and see how long the Granado neck will be. The shirt could probably use another button for aesthetic reasons, but the buttonholes were kind of a pain and that area will be cove...

This photo does not do this guy justice. He's just gorgeous. I looked at him for a long time on the Granado website but...another head, you know? I already have a Gitana head on order. And then someone on Den of Angels made it possible for me to get him (a) instantly and (b) for slightly less than directly ordering one, because of the difference in shipping. So here he is, and he is amazingly lovely. I'm hoping I can do a decent job painting him--if not, I'll send him to Buff to paint up. I did remember to order him some Safrin eyes so he'd at least have those, if no wig and no body. Here he is crudely photoshopped onto a body: Like Granado's other heads, he is limited..I made the mistake of assuming Boyd, the first doll Granado created, would be a standard, and have been kicking myself ever since for not ordering him when I could.
