Aria Gets A New Home

Image
Photo credit--P-Aei on Den of Angels. I have had her for ages, and I always felt guilty I didn't do more with her; she was a lovely gift from Pegapup. But she was small, I had no clothes for her, and her ears were soooo fragile..so she sat in her box until I spotted a Want to Trade in the Den of Angels marketplace, so I did a trade with P-Aei --and look at her now, like ten minutes after she came out of the box. I feel so relieved AND P-Aei has a fun Flickr, if you want to check out more dolls, including some Bishonen house cuties: https://www.flickr.com/photos/128545889@N02/albums He's an artist, too, with a wonderful lively drawing style that I am pretty envious of :D https://www.deviantart.com/aelith-earfalas

Mermaids and Trolls

Image
So I have had this wonderful little Domuya mermaid forever, but she only had her mermaid body so I did nothing with her. But for Christmas, Cat sent me a Notdoll Citron Bleu head on a little old Volks msd body, and I put the Notdoll on my Mirodoll with the jointed hands, and the Domuya on the Volks body, and now I am excited about both of them. For one thing, Rusty the Vampire now has a BFF: The tongue is removable but I like her better with it in, and I would worry about losing it. We spent a lot of today at the Morton Arboretum , looking at trolls. This one you can see from the 88 Freeway going West: (He's "Joe the Guardian") Here is another one: You just need to be careful if you visit their house that you don't end up on the menu:

Random Sunday Photos

My Thursday outfit was on point.:D The scarf in the back, the purple one, was used later by Stripey: And then later she was almost eaten by the couch: J made a flan for Easter, I forget if I put this up: The amaryllis my neighbor gave me two years ago is suddenly blooming: We have Siberian Squill all through the grass (Scylla) so I took out Felicity and had her pose with them (I still need to find her legs) She also looks cute with the scale daffodils that are still blooming--I can't decide if the daffodils are some reversion to species or if they are just stunted from growing over a brick: And the pond is ready! Using rubber gloves, I cleaned out most of last year's plants and moved some of the stones out, and got the bubblers and filter back in. I still need pond plants and some test strips before I put pollywogs or mosquito fish in there. The lining seems to be ok but I don't want to get any large fish in case it fails later in the season (I don't have a back...

Looking for Some Legs

Image
See that cute little mermaid on the left? She is a quite rare Domuya Aria, and I think when she was new she also shipped with some human lower legs. I also think that Domuya used the normal upper msd thighs on her and then added the tail...but the problem is, Domuya closed up shop a couple of years ago and I have no idea how popular their msd sizes were, because I never looked at them. Domuya was based in Singapore and I think sold much or most of their dolls to Hong Kong and mainland China before the husband-and wife owners split and dissolved the company. So it's a long shot to ask if anyone has extra legs or even an extra girl body they would be willing to part with. Aria here is the Domuya NS, which is pretty pale compared to most current NS mixes. (she is next to an NS 2006 Delf boy body). Anyway, contact me on tumblr or Den of Angels if you do have something--I'm "fishcake" there too.

Felicia the Mermaid

I received a wonderful (and somewhat undeserved) Christmas present in the form of a rare little Domuya mermaid, one of the last sets of dolls that Domuya made before the company broke up. She is msd sized and a perfect friend for my sailor Jack (Granado Terra). She also has a cute little lower leg fin which I somehow managed to crop out of the photo. I also got Teodor's (Granado Mads) semi-permanent eyes put in, and now like everyone else, he needs clothes!
