The heads are not Soom--I think the Soom male body here is the newer one but not the 2016 body, because his ankles are bigger than the slimmer 2016. He is 68 cm tall with an IOS G head.  She is 64 cm tall with a Souldoll Shiva head, and I am not quite confident of the size because Ashley (Soom Snow White) is 62cm without her HUGE wig :D I think it's because the Shiva head is both larger and the head sits on top of the neck, instead of having it fit inside the head. Here's Ashley and Rain: I think Ashley does not approve of photos without wigs. I had an new Ebay outfit for her that I think Beachgirlnikita made originally--it was from an estate sale and I couldn't just let it sit there, and it was so perfect for Ashley..and inexpensive! It's one of those catsuits in "burnout" stretch velvet: It started to rain while I was taking this-- and Ashley I am sure was thinking OMG DUDE RAIN so I took her inside for the second photo: That is a rose hip...

These are really msd sized--I got them at Target and they are a tad small for SD dolls, especially the new bigger ones that are 65 cm and up. Here is Rain, now on a Soom Super Gem 2016 body, so he's taller now than before, and the paint can is more like a pint can. But the lid comes off and there is "paint" inside :D The only downside of upsizing Rain is that his pants pop open when he sits down-- so I need to make him some new ones. Otherwise that IOS resin matches the Soom resin perfectly! (There was a plastic birdhouse in the set as well, and I didn't keep it--I have seen wooden ones at JoAnns and Michael's that looked much better and were in scale.)

Just an old photo of Rain since I have done nothing doll-related today--I just made two more virtual hatboxes, and while they aren't amazing, I did learn how to make things reflective in Poser, which made me very happy. I can make shiny SF outfits now!

One of the few other Immortality of Soul "G"s that I have seen photos of, is now for sale on Den of Angels (you need to be a member to see the listing here ). Pozdim did an amazingly beautiful tattoo on him--I hope whoever buys him keeps his painting in place, because it is a lot of what makes this doll special.

Another one of Girrl's creations, which makes farmboy Rain look amazingly dapper! It's such a pretty color and shape, too--much more subtle than Aurelia's :D

Since it is a holiday, I have done no work today. Instead I played with dolls. My sister and Cat actually sent me present FOR the dolls, which was a lot of fun, and of course pictures had to be taken and lazy Photoshopping done to them (to hide dishes). This is Bryan, Iplehouse Denzel, wearing the Bass Pro shirt I found for him. It is intended for a bear, but fits him embarassingly well. Yes, that is a tiny crowbar. J got it for the dolls from Home Depot, and in character, Rain would love it. Heck I love it! I got my own full-sized crowbar last Christmas. yes, that is the pile of dollie presents. What fun! Package from my sister... It's a Santa Hat! New bathroom sink from Bryan to Rain..actually it's a paper clip holder, but the right size for a small doll bathroom. From my sister--I am sure Rain wants to know if eggs can go in there soon. :D And..a giant ball of rope! Neither Bryan or Rain have a boat, so there is some puzzlement. It should surprise no one that Chicago is cold in the winter, but I was a little alarmed that it was three degrees at the bottom of the temperature curve last night. Akutenshi, who is a native Chicagoan, said that while that wasn't unusual, it *was* early. It may be a long winter :D. On the other hand, there is plenty to do inside. I did go out for a few minutes to swap thermometers around (the one on the pergola I couldn't read from inside), and since Rain was out on the worktable, I took him for a few (very few) snow photos. In character Rain doesn't mind the cold at all; he'd be out hunting rabbits and squirrels--which have left tiny footprints all over the yard.

Cat gave me some actual fur (fox, I think, from a 1980's stole)and some Camel (origin unknown, probably from a camel:) and I made Rain a wig that fits, though it's bulky. I still kind of like it. I loved working with the fur, as politically incorrect as it is--it's light, soft and easy to work with. And also politically incorrect, a map of Church Vs Beer: Tweets about Beer vs Church We're all about the beer here in this part of Chicago. (A still photo of a moving digital sign is odd--it looks like a demented cross-stitch project.)

..the doll, not the weather, the weather is beautiful! Though Rain is another doll who needs a wig update; this wig is a little large. My current problem with him is that Immortality of Soul has said she is not interested in re-releasing the "G" or "S" heads anytime soon, so he's become a very valuable doll. (His "G" head is only one of 20, and he is a complete IOS doll, not a hybrid, with his box and papers) so I am afraid to take him out and mess with him. Next update will be late Sunday, I am still working on "Brother Gods". So.. many... tattoos on the main character...*_*

Immortality of Soul doesn't have "option hands" and as much as I love the IoS default hands, he can't hold a gun, a sword, a coffee cup or swim too well, so I decided I would make some spare hands out of Sculpey. The color is off because I had to use what Sculpey I had laying around here, and I got it a bit toasty in the oven. My plan is to glue a fabric cuff on it and some thin fabric on the hand itself and tada, a gloved sword hand. Still have to make the sword.

My Iplehouse doll is still in NYC, perhaps in customs. The doll that is supposed to be his partner is here, with a suitably "any time now" expression. I hate waiting!
