I often render other people's characters for "portraits", and I like to have a spotlight effect. There is some kind of ambient, allover light built into PoserPro 2012, which makes things that should be dark look light, like in this scene: I finally thought to look at the properties of each of the lights, and just unclick the "on" box for the IDL/IBL lights-- and things looked a lot better to me. This is just "spotlights" now: (character is Tomo for M4 by fu-minn and the props are from LukeA's Captain's Galley, both from renderosity.com.)
