Koren/Cody

Image
So this is Light Limner's Koren on the Etsy site--Light Limner is either reorganizing, or shutting down entirely (it's hard to tell) but they had heads on sale and I love Connie, so I thought I would go and see if I could get one more "last chance" head. Koren looked nice so I bought her, and very quickly (in less than two weeks) she appeared at my door. And here she is out of the box: hmmm. Of course, because I had a wig and a dress all ready for once :p But anyway, I painted him up, and found a really thrashed Frankie wig for him from 2009. He's still on "The Dead Guy's" body so I need to clean his hands and feet and body generally, but it's the perfect size for the head at 62 cm. (It's an old Luts Abadon body, I think). I think he's pretty cute :D Homemade eyes, as usual. I did find a new doll wig supplier, haven't tried them yet: https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheDollWigStore?ref=view-all-shop-overview&list...

The Giant Tarot Card

Image
K likes big hangings to decorate her apartment--they fold up small when they aren't up, which is useful if you have a small space but like to have a lot of color and interest in it. So I found this at Matt Green Designs on Etsy and ordered it--it came in about a week and was even bigger than I expected (it's 80 inches tall). You can ask for any of the Rider-Waite cards in a variety of sizes. I liked the feel of this one--it's smooth, tightly woven fabric a bit like ripstop nylon, but softer to the touch than most printed fabrics, and looks like you can wash it in cold water by hand when needed. It folds up to about the size of a keyboard, too.

Light Limner's 50% Off Head Sale

Image
For some reason, Light Limner has a few heads kicking around their Etsy, and because it is summer, there is a sale. A 50% off sale! But you need to hurry, because between Arekushia and I we have alread sucked up three heads. Here is what is left tonight: Here is what you need to know about the Light Limner heads--they are fairly small (think Elfdoll). They are designed to go on the somewhat unsatisfactory 58 cm Light Limner body, which is actually a little hard to find photos of (I think I had to google it last time Connie was on sale). I have not only ordered a Connie head, I also sold a doll in order to buy a Dollmore body for her; though the size may be odd since the Dollmore girls are tall. The thing is,the Dollmore body has a fairly small neck, and that may work out well for a smaller head. If not, there is always Mirodoll to the rescue for an inexpensive body.  Once she arrives I will put her together and see how it looks.
