The art is from my new calendar, a compedium of fairy art from various artists that I love.  I tend to give everyone calendars for Christmas--I love them myself, so I naturally assume that everyone else needs art calendars so they can clip and frame the art they want to keep. There really is no downside, since if someone is meh about a calendar, it's recyclable, and it doesn't take up much room.  This year several people decided I needed calendars too, so now I am the proud owner of not only the fairy calendar, but a bird calendar,a cat calendar and a calendar of the art of Olga Suvarova . All of them will be gratefully used-- and I may try to re-create the dress on the front of the Suvarova calendar. I've been looking at the Soom Heliot . I love that new body with the old head sculpt, and he is so well painted. The problem is that I still need various boring things rather than more resin, and Cat and I are getting the New Heliot wigs and eyes already. So I had given...

I want to make a wig..a pretty simple wig, basically a hat with hair sticking out under it, so I was rummaging around. Cat recommended Amadiz wigs so I went to take a look. Oh my! That is a Soom Heliot up there, modelling "Moon God". I won't be making a wig quite like any of these, but wow, are they fun to look at! Back in 2008, Soom released a doll (Soom Heliot) that I thought was the Craziest Doll Ever. Heliot Link Soom had already done several dolls with "pony feet", so that I was used to--but this guy was a unicorn. With wings. And blue makeup and a "bite me" expression. And he sold so well that everyone had to wait 6 months for Soom to clear out the backlog and ship everyone their sulky unicorns, which caused a lot of wailing and made Soom post up a promise to ship within 100 days or refund some of the cost of the doll. (Which I think is nice of Soom, but uncalled for--they are art pieces, not refrigerators). Of course my friend Cat was not willing to have just another unicorn-with-wings at her house. She wanted a poodle. A pink poodle. So "Edgar" was delivered to her house and fitted up with a diamond collar and a fabulous pink wig and proceeded to take "walks" up and down Long Island, visiting car shows and doll meets with equal aplomb.
