We have been having some kind of leak, probably from the dishwasher, for about a week, from the ceiling under the kitchen to the basement floor. I started washing dishes by hand, but there was still water in the basement. So last night I decided to listen and see if I could hear where it was dripping upstairs, and then I made the fatal error of trying to pull the dishwasher out from under the cabinet, which I think sheared off the hot water supply. So then of course I heard A LOT of water and the basement became a rain forest. Even more aggravating, the shutoff valve under the sink did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and we ended up turning the (brand new) valve to the main, which shut off the water... but which  also meant that we have no water. So in theory the plumber will come out again today to collect his second payment on his yacht, assuming his wife doesn't have her baby and that neither he or his buddy Mike have the flu. The first echinacea is open! I have a lot of sunflowers, too--thanks to both my brother, and the birds, but they probably won't flower until August. Meanwhile I have black raspberries from the box I planted last year from Target, when a batch got moldy in the fridge: And I have a ton of daylilies: And a cat and daylilies: It was gorgeous this morning so I went to Home Depot and bought a can of stain for the back gate, and then of course it absolutely poured all afternoon, and then it was gorgeous this evening, so we went to Naperville for dinner. They had some fun public art set up--benches made to look like favorite kid books! There were a lot of them but I just took photos of three of them: We walked up the river to the Millenium tower--it's Tuesday so the carillon was playing, like a giant music box: Then we had a really nice dinner. Resinsoul has started to make jointed hands for 60cm males now, and I wanted to get a pair for my Immortality of Soul G--his hands are beautiful, but not useful; and as a carpenter he really does need posable fingers. So I ordered a NS pair and a WS pair, hoping to get something like the IoS pale pinky-white. Alas, when they came, I realized they would be too small--the IoS body has Soom Super Gem-sized hands, and these hands were quite small--they are exactly the size of female Souldoll Zenith hands. This is not a bad thing, because my ladies need workable hands, too. I tried them out on Cecilia, my Granado Katrien/Dollzone hybrid first (the DollZone body came to me with Delf hands, which were ok but a bit small for Cece's fat head ;) But Resinsoul NS is much lighter and pinker than Dollzone NS, so her Granado male hands went back on. (They are actually ok for her, just a bit square across the backs). So I went and got out Abraxas (FL Celine/Souldoll hybrid) instead-- sh...

She's a small pink head and I like her on the Mirodoll body best, though she gaps a bit. Of the Impl bodies, I prefer the smaller Star body.
