Sabby

Soom Gneiss My friend Andy made her a sarong! I like the look on her so much, I may dig through my print stash and make her some more island-style things. I have been busy with a cover and some house cleaning stuff, so I am a little behind on doll stuff. I did get a face on Honey, though! Soom Cass I still need to get her some eyelashes, probably from Mint on Card. I had to shoot some stock for the cover, so if you need a blank sky for something, there is a 3264 by 2448 version of this image for you to use without restrictions (it has a goofball filename because it's tagged to the cover rough I was working on).

Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of Dawn

Image
larger of this one 1408x1104 I was filling up the Dawn bottle and mixing in water (the kind I use is the 2x concentrated kind, and I find it's easier to just pour some in a second bottle, and then add a lot of water, than deal with the concentrated mix right out of the original bottle). The results looked so cool that I went and got my camera. I think I can use these to float some Poser mermaids later, but in the meantime here they are for anyone who needs abstract blue bubbly "underwater" photos: Here's the second one 999x632 And the third one 1143x757 Erzulie, my Impldoll Star/Idol combo was supposed to go up for Valentine's Day yesterday, but Comcast seemed unwilling to post it up, so I gave up and went to bed instead. Here she is--hope your Valentine's Day was nice!

Gears

Image
I needed these for a box I am working on and I thought I would share them.(It's my photo, the gears are from Michaels). I spent some of Monday thrashing around the Internet for Art Deco repeating patterns, and found some deco patterns over at MNine Designs on Etsy , but they weren't free. (MNine has a lot of cool "digital papers" for all your scrapbooking and whatnot needs, I saw a couple of other designs there I am going back for later.) So today I finished one heart-shaped box I wasn't happy with (it had a seam I couldn't get rid of), and one I thought was cute: I did some poppies in Rebelle and slapped them on the cylindrical hatbox. This box is nice to texture, the template is very even.

Seedpods, Flavor of the Day, Granado Boy Body

Image
I had a chance not only to spray a doll head outside today, but do some yard work, planting summer bulbs and clearing out old mulch and dead stuff. I thought these seed pods were pretty and lace-like--the cats thought the dead grass and pods were a great place to roll. At least I got a photo:D.Here is the large version in case you have a use for brown seedpods: http://gypsyreggae.com/Freebies/seedpods.jpg We also went past Culvers while doing errands yesterday--this sounds almost good; though it was hard for the sign to top "Mint Chip Walleye". The fish combos are always my favorite. Finally, Zelda sold me one of her 68 cm Granado boy bodies--she felt that the size was out of scale with the rest of her guys, and the torso slipped around more than she liked. I took it, took out all the kips in the joints, painted matte medium in the hip sockets (it's a little like very thin hot glue sueding) and made this crazy insert to see if it would tame the waist joint. It seems...

Squishy Roses

Image
I have a bouquet of roses from Costco that are in need of being tossed out, but I loved the colors so much I took a set of photos. With some photoshopping you can bring them right back up to 100 percent fresh, so I uploaded the large files for free stock for anyone who needs them for Valentine's Day :D.Because I suck at writing html, you have to use your "back" button to get back to this post from the large images.
