I am expecting a box from Korea today.

I bought this lady as a "body", but it turned out that I was so charmed by her ears that I didn't put the "other head" on her body at all. I have a new rule, starting today, that I will not buy heads by themselves, and I will not buy bodies "with heads". Unless I want the whole doll, of course. Cat made her pretty necklace!

After a year of travelling around the UK, Marguerite arrived back here yesterday. I saw her head on the Den of Angels marketplace and she was a deal, so I bought her. Again. I still have the head I swapped her for, so I am not making a lot of progress keeping the doll population down. But she is still in great shape--her owners were careful with her! And finally we went down to Lake Herrick and walked around a little..it's a very neat and clean park/forest.. except the trees are full of fishing line and bobbers from people trying to cast against the wind-- which was blowing again while we walked.

I would like to say we eat healthy, vegetable-rich meals, but really we just eat out of this cupboard. More chocolate is on the top shelf. I did a quick experiment to test some photoshop techniques with things I had on my hard drive while I worked on a cover:

Actually this is my stripy cat's mini garden..I put the herbs there just temporarily to be sure they didn't freeze, but Stripey cat loves them (and chews on the thyme). Here are the Lyman Woods, between the mall and the hospital; 600 acres of abandoned farmland and a lake, and muskrats, which I did not get a photo of. But I did get a picture of a group of large mayapples. We went to the mall after our walk. :)

I made a bunch of grunge maps for a friend for texturing stuff. As you can see in "OK", the scanner is being a problem, so I took a photo. If you can think of a use for it, help yourself. Consider it under a Creative Commons license.
