The picture is from Reddit, but the raccoons were here again last night, pulling up one of the bubblers as well as ten dollars worth of sea lettuce, dropping the torenia pot on the cactus, and biting off one end of the mystery teeth. Little buggers.

J once again made a test cake for the office, this time with Cherry Heering liquor, chocolate and creme fraiche. Needless to say, it was excellent-- though it was an expensive cake (even the fresh cherries are not cheap, though we are right next to Michigan and their cherry crop). Also pitting them was not easy and they were sort of "wet" for the cake. None of this kept me from eating the cake, though. :D "I'll have a second piece, plz."

I didn't buy Soom's cyborg girl, but I did buy a Poser cyborg created by Pixeluna. This is Lavinia2813 from RuntimeDNA . She's another Victoria4 add-on, and she has the base morphed figure of Lavinia, then the add-on cyborg textures, and then more props and stuff beyond that. If you add it all up, she came to less than a pair of doll shoes. :o I just can't sew for her, but then again, it's a lot less mess in the house.

I am putting these up because my brother might like them-- and more importantly, stuff isn't dead yet. I just put in some new plants and there is never any way to tell what will thrive and what will get nasty in two weeks. My echinacea from last year is doing ok, though the roses that came with the house are having a mighty Japanese beetle party right now--I was out this morning with the mason jar full of wine, trying to knock beetles off the bushes into the jar. I caught quite a few, but there are plenty more. Marigolds--I am not sure it's possible to kill marigolds. I have even stepped on them and they spring back. You can see where I need to re-primer the side of the house and hoe up some weeds, too. The bush by the gate is a mulberry, and it's just covered with berries, which the birds like... and we track all over the floors in the house. Everything looking suspiciously neat from just being planted. And where the gray cat is living right now--he just hangs out aro...

Ilsonya spotted this as part of the Hong Kong Dollism show's Loongsoul exhibit...alas, I am now buying a Chinatown apartment in Philadelphia instead of dolls; though I can consider the apartment a "dollhouse" for my 1/1 scale K (with great mohair wig) :D But the Sea Dragon/Merman is wonderful.

I did laundry today, among other things.
