It's super because now the sink is fixed! (And turns off!) (We also went out this evening, and saw a bit of football and some ads, and came home again)

Really, I started out 2017 thinking there would be No New Dolls-- and of course that is now totally all out the window. I have loved Red (who in her factory state has BUNNEH EARS AND FEETS) since she was introduced, but she doesn't fit neatly into either the 18th century crowd or the Gods and Monsters and Aliens crowd either. She's just extremely pretty and beautifully made up. But then Jo was cleaning out some drawers and doll things, including those Iplehouse heads, and asked me if I thought the price she wanted to get for Red was reasonable. Instead of being an adult and saying just  "yes", I said "What is your PayPal I will send you money right now". In my defense it was a VERY good price because she has some rough edges that need fixing up--all minor though. Red is still practically a gift doll, and I will enjoy fixing her up. Mostly it is her shoulders: My Garnet has the same damage; so either it was a bad batch at the factory or we are putting ...

Yes, there is a certificate of authenticity in there! Like a little credit card :D Mr. Snoot! He wears 14mm eyes, but they need to be big and flat--I finally got some squishy Sooms to fit in there. That anime profile :D I think those are really vampire ears, but I am just saying they are "elf ears" here. Metal plate inside head--all the newer heads have this. He sits on the neck fine--much like on his own body--this is a New Soom Super Gem body (Brett, I think). The resin match is very close--you can't really see any difference in person. Persimmon is not convinced he will get clothes anytime soon. He is not wrong ;) Proportionally, he looks great on the Soom body. I can't believe how fast IOS sent him out--I wasn't expecting him for months, so it is great to have him so quickly--especially as it will be warm enough to paint him on Sunday! Woot!

There is a tan Eddie...  (awww, Eddie..he makes the cutest girl, too!) An NS Gentle Akando.. . A tan Storm (This might be Realskin, he looks about the right color for that) An a NS Victor ! Jo got them from one of Iplehouse's head events, and found the tan/realskin didn't match her older RS body. You do need Den of Angels MP access, but they are also on her Flickr if you have questions! (She also has this cool Milla Jovovich head that is really well made up--I would just gloss the lips, find an orange wig and have a perfect 5th element cosplay.)

So far it's been an unusually warm winter so I can't really complain, though I would like to get started with gardening in about a month--probably inside on the porch to start seeds. She came partly unassembled from Princess Bane, with a splendid artist faceup that alas, chipped off  her forehead because of the cold...I think she went from a heated warehouse to spending several hours below freezing in the back of the mail truck. So I redid it somewhat last night--she still needs silvery eyes. (The round Safrins don't quite fit, though 14mm is the right size.) She also needs her own clothes--I am glad I waited to start on a dress for her, because she looks much nicer in wine and gold than the black and white I had planned for her. Such a gorgeous sculpt--maybe my favorite now from Iplehouse. Here is a profile view: For an Iplehouse girl, she has a big head-- eight and a quarter inches around, which means she needs a size 8 wig. I will take more photos of her once she has more clothes! The poor thing has to wait in line behind my current project and Nikki's outfit, as well as actual work. She sits and stands so amazingly well on her classic EID body....
