April Lee's Photostream

Image
April has been collecting dolls for longer than I have, and as far as I know, NEVER SELLS ANYONE. The result is a huge, diverse and magnificent collection. Also, her peeps all have clothes. Check out her Flickr here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/77854072@N00/

My favorite is "Le Chagrin". :D

Found in My Photobucket

Image
I haven't looked in my Photobucket account for probably three years--I sort of forgot I had it, to be honest, since I use Flickr and Imgur, or my own paid hosting site (fiftymegs/United Online). I also have stuff on Deviant Art and CGSociety and probably a small proto Space Art site that still exists somewhere. There is probably embarassing "art" of mine floating around on cached alt.binaries.poser as well. It's hard to keep track. But since Photobucket decided to charge for linking photos to third party sites, I thought it would be a good idea to go look in the Bucket and see if I had anything externally linked, and it turns out that I don't. But there were some golden oldies in there, including this one of my gray cat "not being on the table" ("I'm on a towel, not the table") There were some doll photos that I had forgotten about too: The very first Hyacinth the Barbarian! She was a Nanuri 08 on a delf body that was dyed? Blush...

The Soom Idealian Phonolus

Image
Cat jokingly calls him "Phoneless" which cracks me up. He has two versions, a human one and a Demon Master of Niflheim one, and a nice clothing set. He's a pretty man (I had a tawny Mega Gem one for about five minutes) and while I personally am not doing these huge men any more, I love his color scheme! Here is the Demon version:

Souldoll Rae and a Black Squirrel

Image
Souldoll has a hoofie girl! She is a smallish one, though, a Vito--sort of Idealian size (the small ones) at 54 cm tall. I actually like the human makeup more; here is the "animal head blank" This is the human head's faceup: And here is the "Animal Fairy Rae" complete: You can get a little magnetic tail as well--the outfit, staff, wig and painting are all available, but I think you have to ask if you want the human head as well. I added up all her parts and it was "more than I wanted to spend," but I think she is wonderful! And totally at random, this cutie showed up in my back yard. I have seen melanistic squirrels in Washinton, DC--but not here! We have a ton of food for birds and squirrels right now--crabapples, mulberries, lots of native seeds--and spills from the bird feeder. :D

Random Tuesday Photos

Image
The amaryllis was fully opened yesterday, and the rest of the yard is at peak bloom: The flowers include some bonus sunflowers the birds planted for me. The echinaceas are at their best: I'm enjoying the long days! And the Sistine Porch is coming along! Here is the new color--still need to replace the base moldings and start on the floor soon...

Granado's Vindoll

Image
So here is Granado's first vinyl doll, sort of a big action figure version of the resin guys Crocus Lee does. I actually ordered him as a headless body but Granado kindly sent him with the Udell head, which means I owe them some money. I am glad they did though--while I think I could have grafted the Jupiter head I have on there, it would have been a challenge. J thought Udell's head is a bit small, and I sort of agree, but I wanted the body more as a curiosity than a character, so the smallish head is OK with me. Since he's bouncy, he came without a lot of extra padding: Haha no broken fingers! Here he is out of the shipper: Amusingly, facing backward. His certificate says he is lucky number 13. He's not flawless--like one of the Obitsus I had, his hip and shoulder joints tend to slip off if you are not paying attention: It's easy to pop them back on, and if they get too loose. I might paint a strip of modge podge in there to make it grip better: ...
