Photos: mostly of ball-jointed Asian dolls (some not quite safe for work), cats, plants; occasionally art; and local Chicagoland scenery. Comments are moderated so they will take a bit to show up.
It does mean that I might have to rethink adding arms permanently to if, if Stripey uses it. My possible plan now is to take her lurking box and make that into a bed, so she will transfer her furry self to the bed, and then I can finish the back of the couch and adjust the nails to be straight.
She'll love a sofa like bed of her own! Older cats need a place to keep their backs warm, and feel cuddled in. But one thing I have found out, make two pads, so you can wash one every week or she will decide not to use it after a week.
That is a good idea, if only to get the hair off of it. I have lint-rollered the couch quite a bit and I am resigned to having to re-upholster the lid frequently--I think I will do the next cover with elastic rings over screws so I can change it out easily. I wonder what they did in period with dogs and monkeys rolling around?
Obviously it has reached the inspection and approval stage of progress. Carry on. LOL!
