It's more modern (the statue) but the refs probably are from the 30's--Riverwalk has Dick Tracy and a lot of other old-timers in bronze along it. That was the first real-life example of "yarn tagging" that I've seen, too.
What is that wonderful statue from? The clothing looks 1930s.
